Hitmonlee – any useful experience?

Got a Hitmonlee today, with 1262 CP, level 20.

IV combination 1:
A1/D4/S15
IV combination 2:
A2/D2/S15

The problem is that I am extremely lack on candies, I only have 6 candies. Three from Hitmonchan and another three from this. Stardust isn't a problem. Should I use the Hitmonchan as my buddy and power up this?

(Edit)
Moveset:
Rock Smash + Stone Edge

Sure beats Hitmonchan, and it is the best option for fighting after Machamp/Heracross/Poliwrath.

It is mainly used for presitiging.

As said above, you can prestige with one. If we're being honest that's about it. If you have a better use for him your gym scene must be way better than mine.

FYI Lee gets the best stats but Top and Chan have counter as a quick move.

I see you've added RS/SE as it's moveset.

I going to go with walk a Machamp or a better fighting mon.

I would not power up a mon with those IVs

What on earth are you all talking about? It's the 0 IV Blissey, "interesting" moveset guy! I would totally power it up mate, Stone Edge gives him absolutely astonishing type coverage. Low IV will also catch many people off guard since they will assume your Lee is much lower level than he actually is and therefore underestimate him. He's an awesome defender, power him up to your max and put him in a gym, I have one just like yours and he's got 12 battles won, I saw people crying after losing battles to him, unable to counter him properly (vide Stone Edge - type coverage!) and just walking away leaving my gym alone. Totally legit.

Espeon simply beats it before it release Stone Edge, even a level 14/14.5 (depend on the IVs) Kadabra (with Confusion/DG) can defeat it with dodging in the paper simulation.

I have one that I evolved from a Tyrogue with RS/CC that I use to prestige against Snorlax and Blissey. I have no experience with RS/SE but I guess it might do the job. Maybe try prestiging against Tyrannitar? At least it would resist bite and crunch. If you ever see Lapras in a gym, I'm sure it would be guys. Other than that, at least it fills a pokedex spot!

I can see it being a very effective Lapras counter, probably the best lapras counter in the game infact. Both rock smash and stone edge are super effective into Lapras.

Some may say this lacks stab, but hitmonlee rhymes with Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee doesn't need stab.

No. They (any hitmon) should not be powered up, period. They suck.

Maybe at 100 IV if you have plenty of candy and dust, as an "f--- you" taunt pokemon to put in a gym if you're lvl 38+ and able to power it up to the max without sacrificing buddy time with something useful (there's something to be said for dropping a maxed out "bad" pokemon into a gym just to say "I'm so much better than you at this game that I can afford to waste dust on rare garbage" as a taunt after tearing down a lvl 10 gym singlehandedly, if you want to start a local war).
