Pokecoins
Alright well whether you buy the coins or earn them doesn't really matter. I am curious as to how everyone spends their coins... I buy space for items and pokemon if i can but with 10km eggs i usually just get incubators. What do you all get with your pokecoins?

I upgraded storage to 800 for both bags, and am now saving all my coins in the hopes of seeing some good discounts in the future (holding 1980 coins right now). I did spend 500 coins on lucky eggs when they were half price, but that's it. I haven't bought any incubators yet, but I'm down to just 4 left with 1 use each, so I'm hoping those go on sale by the time I have nine 10k eggs again. If they don't, I might just go ahead and buy some at full price.
I was in the shop one day as the app was freezing, and when I restarted the app, I was 80 coins poorer with an extra incense. After explaining this to Niantic customer service, I can say: Niantic responds to inquiries eventually (which is good), but they do not give refunds even in case of app failure (which is quite unfriendly and seems shady from a legal perspective).
My advice if your app ever locks up in shop: tap nothing, and turn off your phone. I'm lucky it was only 80 coins.
This is the way I buy:
- Max item storage first
- Get pokémon storage just to be able to do bigger mass evolve sessions during double xp events (I was on 450, made it 750 during the discounted mon storage prices, won't buy anymore until next discount one)
- Buy incubators only once I get more than 7 10km eggs, I normally buy 3 of them, do 2 rounds of 3 10km eggs and save the rest for the following 10k eggs, this process only when there are not egg events going, if there is 2x candy, 2x dust, or special eggs I normally buy 2 or 3 rounds of 8 incubators. I always leave on my inventory at least one 10km egg, it works for me to get more of them faster.
- Buy lucky eggs only when they are inside packs (like on Christmas) or at discounted prices.
- I never buy lures, incense or balls.
I maxed out my bag and storage early on, ever since I've only used them for incubators, except I bought two sets of the 25x pack of lucky eggs during the double xp event. Since gen2 I haven't spent a single dollar, and since the eggstravaganza I haven't used any incubators other than the infinite incubator, except I'll use regulars on 10kms (only a handful since). It's great because even though I'm hatching eggs much more slowly, I haven't spent real money and I'm saving for the next egg-related event!
Maxed out storage for both items and mons. Items more important than mons at this point. Will change when gen 3 is released.
Incubate all 5km and 10km eggs with bought incubators (the infinite one takes care of the 2km eggs). Yes, this has been expensive, but I only started in february, so I needed a boost to get competitive fast (close to level 34 now).
Bought a big pack of lucky eggs during the 4x XP event. Probably bought too many as xp doesn't interest me that much anymore.
That's it. I would NEVER buy a lure or an incest. I can hardly find a use for the ones I got for free. Buying pokeballs is just Niantic punishing rural players. Anyone with access to a decent amount of pokestops should never have to buy pokeballs. My small town has 14 stops (and 4 gyms) and that is plenty for that.
With storages maxed:
I buy lucky eggs enough to cover mass evolves (bought a 25 pack and 8 pack so far, but with 11 remaining it'll be a while before those are gone - especially because I don't evolve small mons until double-XP events).
I also buy incubators when I have more than five 10k eggs; this way it's extremely unlikely that I'll ever have to use my infinite incubator for 10k's (plus I'll always have at least five of them ready for events).
Otherwise I always save coins outside events because (1) my circumstances in the game are already to my satisfaction and I feel no need to rush anything else, and (2) because Niantic is a business and if they want people to spend in the future, they will always develop new reasons for people to do so (e.g., new events, legendaries in eggs, master balls in the shop).
My item and mon storage is maxed now...I'm just hoarding coins for the eventual gym rework making Pokecoins harder to come by.
I also like to buy things on sale so I am waiting for something to be discounted before buying. I bought a 25 egg pack since it was 50% off even though I already had 15 eggs or something from an earlier pack.
I assume the year anniversary may have new stuff to buy. I hope they expand Pokemon storage so I can hoard more mass evolve fodder.
I never buy clothes since like in real life, I don't care what I wear anyways...so even in game, I care just as little.
Over 6k in coins now.
I don't spend on incubators since I have no shortage of dust (near a million) and unless you have them going non-stop, I think it's just too hard to get decent IV rare mons so most are junk hatches.
Storage is already maxed out. So now I buy incubators (always for a new 10k; otherwise I incubate 3-4 eggs at a time). As a rural player, I (sadly) have to buy pokeballs at times, although I try to avoid that. I will buy lucky eggs (trying to reach level 35 soon), and incense (sometimes I just like to play at home where nothing spawns).
And, yes, coins - but not as many, I have 9 mons in gyms right now which helps a lot.
When I first started playing the game seriously, I bought coins all the time. Now, I usually earn 100/day and only buy about once a month.
I buy incubators a lot. When I first started, I pretty much bought as many as I needed to always be hatching 9 eggs.
Maxed out my storage a long time ago. I bought 25 lucky eggs during the sale so I'm set there. I have even bought pokeballs a few times, when I was hunting for fun with my kids and ran out.
