Dragonite with Dragon Tail/ Hurricane vs Dragon Tail/Outrage vs Dragon Breath Dragon Claw
Ok guys, I have three Dragonites, one with DT/H, the other one with DB/DC and the third one with SW/ Outrage. The missing link is the one with DT/Outrage but hope to get one soon. Which one do you rate as the best attacker with the movesets mentioned in the title? I want to know your opinions and experiences. I personally have a preference for DB/DC.

DB/DC (Legacy) is the strongest combo if you're dodging while attacking.
DT/OR is the strongest combo when attacking or defending. If you are dodging the DPS drops
DT/Hu is also good but falls short
SW is only good for building energy. DT out ranks it damage for attacking and defending
HB is also not that great when compared to Hu and OR for STAB
SW is also good for matchups that are weak to steel (fairy rock ice and something else). In those cases, it has better damage than DT because SW+SE is slightly better than DT+STAB (neutral), but that's about it. It is also somewhat easier to dodge with. Then again DT is unresisted, and SW has a glaring weakness in its inability to hit water pokemon.
DB/DC is the only useful one I have (my other one came with SW/DC)...for general purposes I'd probably want the DT/OR after witnessing some youtube videos.
I only use my dragonite for the dragonite fights though, and it is best for the dragonite mirror match because you can avoid the worst dragonite defender move-dragon claw. If you have DT as quick move you won't be able to dodge in time if you fire it off by accident.
As I noted above I usually reserve my DT/OR until I make my first run through gyms. Once I know what movesets are in there my DT/OR can feast. In regards to DG, what I've experienced with it using my Tyranitars and Dragons is that any Blissey with DG is better than any other movesets on defense. I have to bear through DG and the only thing that counters it well is my B/SE Tyranitar because it's fast. All other charge moves are never missed, and to be fair I don't fall victim to DG much either.Note that I do not have a fighting moves Machamp though.
I was lucky enough to get all 3 in a row. From my experience, I would say DT/O > DT/H > DB/DC.
Thats the way I use them to battle other gyms. I like how fast DT/O defeats nearly every opponent and if you use it right, you won't get hit by the defenders charge moves frequently.
I prefer to take down gyms as fast as possible. I don't dodge quick moves except strong ones like DT. Revives/Potions are no problem for me as a city player.
Dragon Breath + Dragon Claw.
Most HP efficient, and also consistent since the move's duration is shorter than the dodge window (the white flash), you're far less likely if ever, to miss a dodge due to the random attack time added to defenders. In some cases you can still dodge even if you attacked very early on in the dodge window, which is impossible with slower moves.
Whereas if you miss a dodge with Dragon Tail then your timing is offset and you've probably got to miss out on one attack to ensure you dodge the next one, which is a much bigger deal when your move deals more damage.
e.g. say you can usually get 2 DTs off in between each dodge but you get unlucky and the defender only gets the minimum time added to it's attack - I think it's a random time averaging at 2 seconds.
In order to guarantee you don't miss the next dodge you can only use 1 DT instead of 2, so you miss out on 15 damage and 8 energy, whereas with DB if you normally get 4 DBs and use 3 instead, you only lose 6 damage and 4 energy.
According to Pokebattler, DB + DC is straight up better than DT + H. More potion efficient, quicker time to win, and more total damage before fainting. It's only a simulation but you can test it out since you actually have 2 Dragonites with those moves.
Even if it's not true and DT+H is slightly better for total damage I'd still choose DB + DC, it just feels so much better to use when you don't miss any dodges.
If I'm lucky enough to get a DT + O and trading comes out I'd trade it for a DB + DC any day of the week.
I personally prefer DB/DC, if I want to dodge quick moves, including when slowing down to dodge quick moves near a charge move with little warning. While I'd prefer DT/O or DT/H if only dodging specials, particularly when they have a lot of warning; such as a L/EQ Snorlax. If anything is weak to Flying, I'd choose DT/H. Similarly, if fighting a Dragonite, I won't not choose DT/H.
I'd recommend checking the rankings/sims at Pokebattler, with your usual dodge strategy, which are briefly summarized below.. Their rankings of different Dragonite movesets vary with different dodge strategies, generally favoring DB/DC with more dodging, and DT with less dodging.

I would say DB/DC and DT/O are equally same useful.

<--- DB/DC is better than DT/O as a generalist according to its performance against Snorlax. But they are almost the same in the Blissey battle.

<--- DT/O performs a bit better than DB/DC in Dragonites battles. DB/DC died faster and deal less damage than DT/O.
So in what circumstances for me to use dragonite more often? generalist or specialist ? I'd say 50/50.
I know many people prefer a DB/DC because of dodging reasons. But as you can see on the second video, DT/O is able to dodge properly if you have very good skill.
And for DT/H, I think its a good one but just slightly worse than above movesets. Both 2 dragon moves can cover about 90% of battles IMO.
I have 2 each of DB/DC and DT/OR and use them all the time.
I have attacked level 10 gyms with all 4, so I can easily see the difference while taking down Snorlax, Blissey, etc
And sorry, but DT/OR is MUCH better than DB/DC.
I agree it is easier to dodge with DB/DC, but DT/OR is just so much more devastating.
