Any suggestions for 98% Arcanine?

I evolved a 98% Arcanine (cp 1698) luckily with bite and bulldoze...

Have you any suggestions if it can be usefull? (Except being a candy)

Keep it in hope that we can reroll movesets in the future, at least until you find a 100% IV.

Unfortunately it is the worst moveset and not useable in combat, also it's CP are too low to use it as defender.

First, find a level 4 gym of your team, the gym must have at least 2 fire-type and/or ice-type Pokémon, 3 or 4 of the Pokémon at the gym must be less than 1500 HP. Second, power it up to level 5. Third, due to type effectivenesses, most people will bring water-type Pokémon to defeat fire-type Pokémon, thus makes this will hold for a while. YOUR ARCANINE IS LIKELY TO KILL WATER POKÉMON WHICH HAVE LOW HP LEFT.

I'm not sure about this advice.

Not tested, but may successful. The arcanine has an anti-type move.

Bite and Bulldoze does not gain any type advantage against a water attacker, both are weaker than their fire attacks.

Mathematically speaking there is no scenario where bite/bulldoze outperforms the fire moves. Only exception is slowbro (for bite vs fire fang).

Google is also useful for more answers since most questions have already been asked. Type in the two moves plus Pokemon name plus Reddit.

Im just suggesting that so you don't wait here for a reply.

I've read that move set is weak but I bet some players have used for it.

I am well aware of the movesets and how to train gyms the most efficient way.
I was just wandering if sb else have a use for some shady arcanine.

It can beat a water-type Pokemon around 1000–1250 CP and less than 100 HP, which has no strong water-type charge moves with a high DPS.

Bulldoze is a ground-type attack.

I already have a 95% maxed out with ff /fb

I've got three Arcanine with bite/bulldoze, 2 of which remain unused. I did try powering one up and it's just about usable against grasses of a lower cp, but barely.

Sorry, but bulldoze arcanine is like a water pulse vap or twister gyarados whereby u lose dps when weaving it in as compared to just spamming ur quick move.

But at least a water pulse vap is still a decent defender, but an arcanine regardless of movesets is not a good defender...unless u wanna use his high IV/CP to rank it higher in gyms.
