Omanyte question

So I was not lucky enough to get RT/RS Omastar, but I did end up with a WG/RS which I really enjoy using. Now that double rock is impossible for Omanyte, I feel like evolving another is a waste because I have so many viable WG/HP mons getting the moveset, though it is good, seems superfluous. Does anyone else feel the same way??

Same here. I will not evolve another unless he gets a rock quick move. There is no point.

yep, just collecting candy now and keeping 2-3 high level high IV... but maybe there's no point, will there ever be another move set change??

My guess is that moves will be added when gen 3 drops like they were for gen 2. If a change is coming I expect one then.

Yeah you are right! I have both wg rs and wg hp and hydropump is really the same old same old so stick with the one you have, I wish I hadn't invested in the hp one , it was a nooby mistake :p

Same with Kabutops as well...

One reason I never evolved a Machamp before the move/gen2 reset since it's not needed/useful...

Sitting on near 300 Omanyte candies (nest earlier) and 100+ Kabuto candies.

I was silly enough to evolve three, but Kabutops no longer has a good quick move, so I'm saving my candies until his moves change.

W/H Omastar was better than other water types with that moveset when fire pokemon were more prevalent in gyms. Omastar is worse against rock/gound types because it is weak to Mud Slap and Rock Smash.

There is not currently much reason to try too hard to evolve Omastars if you already have at least one good moveset.
