Event not working :(

Ok so I was very excited for this event because I saw a larvitar on sightings a while back and I thought it was time to redeem myself but nope this is what the event was in the first day. No larvitar, No Onix, One Graveler, One Geodude, One Rhyhorn, One sudowoodo Two Kabuto, Two Omynite, and finally about a billion slugma... So this is what it did to spawns lowered both geodude and rhyhorn and just kept slugma and sudowoodo the same and barely increased kabuto and omynite... but I dont need a 3rd Omastar and a 4th Kabutops. And on top of that WHERE IS MY HAT?!

I see kabuto and omanyte everywhere. Also just caught my first ever wild larvitar at the entrance of my working place. Be patient and hopeful, the event is working fine! :)

The thing that concerns me is the lack of onix I saw 2 in the two days prior to the event so I am just concerned about the lowered spawn rate on all the rock pokemon such as geodude, rhyhorn, and onix.

For now everything seems equally represented in my city. Geodude, rhyhorn are more common than their evolved forms and than rarer pokemon like ónix, kabuto or omanyte. But all of them are spawning at very high rates. Slugma is a bit crazy in some areas (doesn't make much sense, agree... but in our water biome that is a bless)

The hat is in the hat isle of your avatar configuration. It is even for free!

As for spawns: I caught my first wild Larvitar ever, skipped going after my first wild Aerodactyl, saw lots of Omynite (which I still need), caught an Onix on my way to work, caught my first wild Slugma, ...

The event is working quite well.

Yes I just checked again and it was finally added it was missing during the first hours of the event for me.

This is almost my exact position. Water/Grass biome, getting Slugma EVERYWHERE, it is insane, I see more Slugma than Pidgey before the event, and this is a lot to be said...I thought this was a rock event, not a fire/slugma one.

Yes I am seeing some Geoude, very few Rhyhorn, and some Kabuto (only one Omanyte at this point).

If you are on the same position please reach out Niantic and let them know the event is not working as it should, they can't deny that Slugma is not a rock mon, Larvitar a part, I did not expect to get a ton of them, but it seems I am gonna get exactly zero during the hole rock event.

This thing is a fraud for me, I feel betrayed as a customer at this point, and the fact that a lot of people is getting Larvitar like crazy, and that they have got probably like 10-20 only during the first hour of this event because of Niantic bad management makes me angry.

Just like I got exactly ZERO dratini during the water event. Seems to be completely fine to me!

It seems to be working pretty fine:
2 Onixes, 1 Seel, 1 Weedle, 1 Marcargo and 1 Kabuto for me since the event start.
Seel is probably a simple nest spawn.

My area of my city was pretty good yesterday. I caught pretty much every 1st evolution except Larvitar but he did show on my tracker, just out of my way. Caught 4 Aerodyctyl, 3 Onix, a kabutops, a macargo, and lots of Geodude, Rhyhorn and omanite

Rock Event is true unlike Grass Event. Spawns rates for rock type are better. I caught a Larvi with more Rock type in just 15 mins....

No larvae for me yet, but a ton of rhyhorns, onix, geos, omantyes, and slugmas.

Best catch was actually just before the event started, a L29, 98 IV Rhyhorn! I immediately evolved into 2700+ beast. Now I'm hoarding candies for Rhyperion.

I feel for you. I saw no noticeable change during the grass event. I actually saw three Venasaurs the day after it ended.

I've checked tracker about 12 hours ago short after event started, there was about 10 larvitars in 1 km radius and plenty of aerodactyls as well, now it is 1 or no larvitar and aerodactyls.
Looks similar to the beginning of splash.
