Should Blissey be nerfed?
I really don't think so.
First of all, Blissey is the ONLY truly strong defender. The only one that deters anyone from attacking a gym. Snorlax is good too, but far from Blissey and everything else is a joke, really. Even a top level Dragonite is a piece of cake compared to a mediocre Blissey.
Second. Sure we all hate to see a "Blissey-tower", but remember that Blissey has got her cp working against her. As time goes by and new pokemon are introduced, it's actually going to get hard for Blissey to place in gyms and if she places it will likely be at the bottom. So there's an inbuilt nerf over time for Blissey.
Third. The existence of Blissey gives players a strong incentive to work more on their attacking squad as she is genuinely hard to take out.
Four. Imagine how pissed we'll all get for walking Chansey constantly since february if Blissey is given the Lapras treatment.

"buffing" other mons makes Blissey less elite thus nerfs her anyway.
I do not want Blissey nerfed. But I do not see a whole lot of gym mechanic changes or other changes that will not have to bring Blissey's stats in line somehow to bring those other defenders up without making Blissey too strong for newer players to conquer.
Maybe they will find a better way around it. I hope so.

The gym system is sorta crap I feel and not in the "spirit" of a Pokemon battle.
I watched the Trainer Tips video and saw the 8-16 people attacking a gym and 1 defender and felt sad for the guy at the gym getting ganged up on.
Tap for 5 seconds, next Pokemon...
Blissey or any mon is a joke when more than 1 trainer attacks so if anything, they need to actually change it all up and make things harder...
I see level 10 towers dropped by folks with 3 trainers in like 5-10 minutes (just INSANELY fast).
They should make ALL gym battles solo I think...that said, gyms need a major overhaul which negates same team hate, gym shavers, ALL teams benefiting from gyms, etc...
All those are a tall order and I am expecting nothing or worst with the gym rewamp.
I enjoy doing gyms with my husband, and would probably quit if we could no longer do that. We also catch pokemon together. I would, however, like to see bubblestrat go. I do feel like doing gyms in person with other people is in the spirit of the game, even more than doing them alone. Bubblestart, however, is something that I consider to be a cheap tactic. Also spoofers, bots, and multi-account users should be banned.
To do it together, they can get rid of the spontaneous instance and everyone gets their own like training/prestiging...
At least this way, ALL trainers have to dip into their potion/revive stash...
The benefit is the prestige can also go down insanely fast.
If you had a few people (I'd say 3) in the same battle, the defender will never fire off a charge move now...Totally no use of any resources other than brainless tapping.
Gyms can still be torn down fast, but resources will still be needed (still much much less), and it seems very out of a competitive Pokemon spirit to see 4 ganging up on 1 defender...
One interesting thing about Blissey...
The only reason they are so prominent now is the Valentines event. Even with lucky hatches, it is difficult to have more than one strong Blissey...if you didn't have the valentines event.
So a new player starting today is at a big disadvantage there, unless there is another Chansey event.
I'm indifferent between getting a blissey nerf and not getting a blissey nerf. I only have one, and although it's a 100%, I don't care too much.
I see the nerf coming though, the CP formula will get reshuffled and it can only possibly affect Blissey in a negative way due to her very weak physical stats. Unless they weaken generalists like Lapras and Blastoise further, it can only go the other way, which is a Blissey nerf.
the meta in my town consist in 10 blissey gyms, and is a spoofer lvling up the tower with gastlys then he put blissey's friends
everybody is leaving blissey in gyms now, because they take so much tmie to take down, nobody cares of the placement, just a bunch of blisseys
dont think people really do care about placement, those are bad players, good players know that if you make that tower strong you are going to make the opposite team to lazy up destroying that tower, not to count if its only one legit guy he will be like, ok time to not play and just take down a blissey tower

You don´t need to nerf her. I just take out my T-rex B/SE and bite right through her. It´s fun.
I think Blissey introduced at least a little bit extra in planning a good gym. I like it when a Blissey is near the bottom om lvl 8-10 gym. Just take it down so it needs 7-8 k to prestige against Blissey and nobody will do it.

(1) Blissey is at the bottom spot
Prestige blissey with a 21xx Polywrath, and then prestige the non-blissey-rest of gym with matching prestigers.
(2) Blissey is above the bottom spot
Prestige everything under her, leave battle, repeat.
If there are multiple blisseys in the lower regions of a gym and if one of them sits at the bottom spot, prestiging is annoying.
