Prestige against Machamp?

Yesterday I wanted to prestige a level 7 gym and of the bottom 3 defenders, 2 were Machamp. First time I ran into this. Following the 1/2 CP rule, I couldn't find a single prestiger in my group that was good against a true fighter. I ended up using Wiggly's, since they are good generalists and fairly high HP. They got the job done, but at a high price.
Any suggestions?

I'd try with suicide Pidgeottos.

Xatu might be a good option as well followed by Pidgeot, Hypno, Noctowl, Mr. Mime, Slowking and maybe Scarmony, Jynx, Mantine or Golduck. Or if you have a low level Espeon or Alakazam they should get the job done too.

Hell yeah didn't realise before that there are that many options :D

"Or if you have a low level ....."
And there lies my problem. Everything I have was way too high a level. The bottom 4 of the gym were/are, Machamp, 2170: Blissey, 2192: Machamp, 2308: and Dnite, 2606. Above that, the other 3 mons were more than 2900. I wanted to stay around 1150 - 1200 on my prestige team, and take out the bottom 4 a few times.
Although I did go look just now, and I do have a Hypno and a Golduck with double Psychic moves that are in my collection 1170 and 1220 CP. Just don't have them named as prestigers. Will correct that.
Thanks.

Maybe use exeggutor, alakazam, or even hypno (cause he has low CP)

Wigglytuff with Play Rough is SE against Machamp

Xatu psychic and flying moves are SE against Machamp too and Xatu being Psychic and Flying resists Fighting moves so x0,64 damage taken.

But she is weak to steel, which is a problem if they have bullet punch and/or heavy slam.

I agree with the Xatu option. I personally keep a few Pidgeots around, which work quite well. Skarmory would be a good option too, as he will resist the steel moves if they are of the steel variety.

Speaking of Machamp. IF Psychic types are absent (Eggy, Espeon, Alakazam, etc are all on vacation), and so are Dragonite and Gyarados, C/DP Machamp is actually a good defender.
Counter is a weaker Zen Headbutt but Machamp has STAB, so it is actually more damage efficient than Zen Headbutt on Snorlax/Blissey; Dynamic Punch, oh boy, that's even better, 2-bar charge move with 90 STAB power, and hits fast? The DPE (damage-to-energy) reaches 180, higher than Body Slam, second to Outrage and Dazzling Gleam.
I happened to fight a C/DP Machamp with Alakazam. Alakazam kills Machamp quickly, but he himself took a lot of damage too.
I hope that Machamp will be a viable defender in the "new" gym.

I agree. I don't see Machamps very often, but when I do I am now aware of DP. It hits really hard...

Gyarados wouldn't hit it perfectly either due to bite being NVE against fighting, and more than half of gyarados have bite. Newer ones also have 66% chance of getting a dark move.

So it's really just flyings, psychics and dragonite for a fatality.

A very interesting option is gengar, for the double fighting resist.

Adding Crobat and Scyther to the list. The universally hated Gligar and Mantine with flying moves might also do the job.
