Future Shiny?

Accidentaly noticed a strange gleam animation around one of my Arcanines. Checked other Arcanines and a couple other fire types - nothing. Checked my shiny Gary - same animation, only denser, more frequent. No Pokedex entry yet, but I guess we can already watch out for potential shinies.

UPD: noticed it on the other 'mon that is next to the shiny Gary, turns out the gleam carries on to its neighbors' background. Meh.

Did you swipe from Gyarados go Arcanine? I'm only seeing it as leftover animation from when I'm on a Red Gary to whatever I swipe next. I can't imagine preexisting catches could become shiny - except the Dittos that Damn well should. I suppose anything is possible though...
