Hatch rate mantine

This is depressiv, last 6 10km eggs hatched Mantine. Seems like a long strike of useless pokemons in 10km for me. I have spent almost 1000E in total since the start. I am a rural player and cannot find high tiers in the wild, I have to hatch them and walk insane distances in order to get them powerful. Niantic, I'll never spend a dime more on incubators, why, because theres only shit inside the eggs!

I truly believe the RNG is bullshit. I am from a city, but I normally play in a certain area. My last 9 10k hatches have been 5 mantine, 3 pineco, and a gligar. I was in NYC last weekend and was lucky enough to spin 2 10k. It was Larvitar and Lapras. I ended up in NYC again yesterday and got lucky enough to spin another 10 and I also have one more 10k from home. If my NYC egg is good and my home egg is one of my big 3, I will be convinced it is not random at all but area based.

From my experience, the egg is totally area based. If you cannot meet some pokemon in your area, it is almost impossible to get it from egg.

Which sucks because it didn't used to be that way because almost all of my Charmander candy came from hatches until the starter event.

Nah. Ekans, Cubone and Sandshew are frikking rare here in this Water / Grass biome, but I get a lot of them from eggs.

And ponita for me.
But I think each pokestops have biome too, hence the predilection for some mons frim some stops.

John Hanke's twitter, way back when regionals hatched from eggs - and he was asked if you could get a regional from an egg outside of it's natural spawn region.
He replied that the eggs you get are dependant on the area you are in.

That was specifically in reference to whether regionals can be hatched outside their natural habitat. Here is a copy and paste of the twitter exhange:

@johnhanke For the love of everything that is PoGO, please answer: Can you hatch regionals out of eggs outside of their region?

the eggs can only be found in their natural habitat.

Obviously non-regional Pokemon can be found in eggs outside their biome, so that reply could not have been in reference to egg hatching in general

I live in a small urban environment and I use the same Pokestops every day and I have hatched everything that can be hatched from eggs (other than regional exclusives). For instance, I regularly hatch Dratini, I've hatched several Larvitar, and a host of Lapras, yet I do not live in the "natural" habitat of any of them (I've never even seen a wild Larvitar). So empirically, I can say non-regional hatches are not limited to their Pokemons' natural habitats, and Hanke's response was not in reference to them.

See https://thesilphroad.com/science/secret-egg-rarity-tiers-pokemon-go which provides research and evidence showing it is highly unlikely biomes affect egg hatches

For me it has been 1 pineco and 2 mantine as my last 3

I've gotten 3 mantine, 1 pineco. I would have greatly preferred the other way around; I still don't have a forretress.

Mantine is utterly worthless currently. Unremarkable on prestiging. Does it EVER get another evolution, or is it perma-trash?

I firmly believe that Niantic is making a terrible business decision by having so much crap in 10km eggs. They would sell a lot more incubators if you were almost guaranteed something good, even if that meant 10km eggs becoming more rare.

My issue will always be that biome based eggs are dumb. I live in what would be considered a water/grass biome. So why do I not see more Lapras in my eggs? Every biome should have normal mons so with that in mind Snorlax and Chansey should be possible everywhere with some regularity. Now I still enjoy the game because I can play on the bus and it get me out, but I will only spend money during week long events that get me bonuses that I want. No more to hatch my 10k eggs because most of them piss me off too much.

Yes, thats very true. I do notice that rural eggs and city's eggs so different. Citie's eggs are far away better than rural ones. Rural egss are mostly weak mons.
