For attacking do you prefer Thunder or Thunderbolt?

Just evolved my ninth Jolteon (one of these days I'll get a Vaperon with water pulse), and scored my fourth Electabuzz at the weekend.

Now I like electrics, and already have a maxed out Jolteon with Thunder, but it's getting silly.

I'm tempted to power up one of the other electrics, possibly an Ecltabuzz for variety, but should I go Thunder or Thunderbolt?

Honestly its not worth it in my opinion to spend more dust on a jolteon. Especially since you already have one maxed with Thunder.

Now if this new Jolteon is a high level and nearly capped then you may want to do it if you got a lot of dust laying around as it wouldn't cost a lot to max it.

Jolteon is just too much of a glass cannon to be in the meta which is a shame cause a meta electric would really be awesome in the meta game.

I have a maxed out jolteon (91iv) with thunder and a maxed out raichu (95iv) with thunder. And guess what....I simply dont use them. It's just for the have.
So dont waste your stardust if you can use it a better way.

I tend to find electrics in 1200 - 1700 range are some of my most common gym trainers.

I prefer discharge since Electric doesn't make for enduring damage.

I usually use single use full charge moves like thunder and hydro pump if I am by myself, but multi use moves like thunderbolt and aqua tail if I am attacking an enemy gym with other players. With more players the battles go faster so there is less time to charge and it seems like we end up unleashing our full charge moves at the same time wasting a lot of damage.
