what is the endgame? what to do after pokedex?

Before the gym system update, the endgame looks like to be having strong high cp defenders. Now the gym can be taken down so easily, and really really hard to train, that endgame aspect seems to be gone. No need to have strong defending pokemon, and no need to have strong attacking pokemon either, as gyms are week. What to do after pokedex? any ideas?

I knew a guy who have 700+ Pikachu but after the nest changed last month, I didn't see him anymore (My local park used to be Pikachu nest).

I think he's in Long Beach with the bike...had like 2 mil stardust and 9000 or some crazy amount of Magikarp candy!

Good question. This is one of those games where the endgame is totally up to you. Do you think it's over? Do you want it to be? The endgame is what you make of it, whether it be catching them all or getting the strongest Pokémon possible. You make the endgame.

It can be whatever you want it to be! That's the beauty of this game. For me, my goal is to recreate my original 6 from GB Red with IV higher than 90%!

I think once youve hit the 30s best thing to do is tank resources. The current gym format can completely change after the next update, nothing is locked in. Look this is a new game and i guarantee niantic will push out some poorly designed events over the next year. Personally Im just trying to position my self to take advantage of these as they come.

Sorry no ideas. This new friendly gym is definitely discouraging for me as well. Right now I have switched my focus to gold medals just to beat the game.

For me it's getting those medals and 100% Pokemon. Gyms are a complete joke nowadays and I only fight them to get coins. Training is too tedious and I don't have the patience to sit half an hour in the cold weather training the damn gym, only so some level 15 punk can come and destroy it in 10 mins with his Vaporeon and Arcanine.

The endgame for me after the patch is I stopped playing. I haven't turned on the app in several days.

There simply isn't any point to collecting resources now.

I keep coming back to this site to see if there is news that would make me think there is a reason to keep playing, but mindlessly collecting candy and star dust simply isn't going to sustain my interest.

I really enjoyed the territorial battle with the 3 teams fighting it out. But now that that is gone there simply isn't a game left to be played in my opinion.
