I'm seeing spinaraks, weedles, eggs, oddish etc everywhere.

I usually see spinaraks, weedles, eggs, oddish etc everywhere.

There does seem to be some early reports on SR that the spawn rate out of biome isn't as high as one would hope. Keep us in the grass biome updated please so we can get an idea of rarity in a different type event.

I'm water biome. Walking home I thought the same: no grass spawns, did the event start? A few meters ahead a Bulbasaur appeared on sightings. A couple of sunkern, which are very rare... and in my neighbourhood 4 eggs. Exeggutor are as rare as snorlax here. So, the event is sort of working fine.
You may need to find the right area. Look for cluster spawn areas or "unicorn" spawn points if know of any nearby

Is it a country based or what ? May be only for the usa ? I saw no difference whatsoever in spawning

No, I'm in europe and Have a similar experience like Giardino above.

They increased grass spawns but they didn't add more grass spawn points.

So you need to go to a grass biome. Time to travel.

I'll check out the spawn points on my bicycle ride home, once I can leave work. I'm sure there be more grass types out there.

This is kind of true. If your chance of seeing a Chansey before the pink event was 0.0000001% it jumped to 0.000001% during the event. It may just be that the OP is in an unfortunate area....or maybe a fortunate one compared to a grass biome. I guess we will see

I few days ago a post was about people never seeing a tangela. It sure would be nice for them to catch one with out having to travel far.

For those that had never seen a Lapras...they got no Lapras spawns during the water event.

This sounds just like the water event, where water biomes were over run, those that had occassional water spawns got a decent increase and those that never saw water still only got a minor increase.

This is just the same as the last event.

I had to travel to find significant water spawns...for the grass event my biome is conducive to seeing a decent increase.

Already found Exeggcute, Sunkern, Bulbasaur, Chikorita within a few minutes, which are not too common for me.

If it was uncommon but it "could" spawn there then you will see a lot more.

In our downtown area there has been no change. Because its not "grass". Go to the park/suburbs and tons of grass mons.

Sometimes you just gotta get out and travel. Everyone wants stuff just handed to them.

Easy man It is pretty late , plus every one could assume that the spawning will be something similar to the water event , but clearly it isn't

It is just like the water event.
Those that never see water mons in their area didn't get much of an increase....except maybe Magikarp.

Those that had a few water spawns got a decent increase...while water biomes even had dratini everywhere until it was adjusted.

It is just like the water event...it is just that this time the water biomes are missing out.

If the conclusion of " the spawn will increase in the points where grass biome originally spawn " if this conclusion is true , then what is the point , I am 9 month in and don't have oddishie or billbasure evolutions because I don't have grass spawning point , that is depressing

Grass mons are spawning everywhere in our suburbs. Literally everywhere.

Definitely an increase. You gotta go somewhere and you will be rewarded. Go for a long bike/walk to a place where grass mons spawn. Get out and explore.

don't really care about this event.

I can barely be bothered throwing a ball at any grass mon except eggs, and that's only out of habbit. I have over 1k candy and 3 90%+ eggs unevolved as already have 4 solar beam exeggutors. and good examples of the other grass mons.

If there was double something to go with it, I might be more interested.

Was at a city park when the event started, saw substantially increased Sunkern, Exeggcute, and Bulbasaur. Then went to a city neighborhood, and things were relatively normal but definitely a bit grassier (1-2 out of 9 on nearby are grass).

I woke up to a Venasaur on my front yard.
I walked up the street caught Chikorita, Sunkern, Hoppip, Skiploom and a couple of Bellsprout.

When I got to the park at the end of the street I got a Bulbasaur Sunkern and more Hoppip.

I have been up for less than an hour.

I have a good feeling about it...

Forgive me if I'm not overjoyed so far...

They won't be filling your sightings list, you have to go out and explore to find them.
I made the same assumption checking my screen, but as I walked for 2 km I found a lot of them that weren't near pokestops or were near them but further away

I'm not sure if I would have even noticed there was an event going, if I hadn't read about it. Everything is pretty much the same as always, except even more Sunkerns than usual, which are my #1 pokemon that I ignore.

It's been underwhelming for me thus far. Caught one Bulbasaur.

For me so far ive caught so many chikoritas, bulbs, oddishs, bellspourts and hoppips. Around me ive seen grass pokemon around pokestops. I guess so far for me the event has been treating me good
