Espeon?

I have a 2247CP 91% IV Espeon with Confusion / Future Sight. Is it worth (the dust) maxing it out and why ? or leave it like that. What is your experience with espeon?

It is a very strong defender and one of the few good defenders that have strong cp(along with vape and donphan) so yeah max it out. I mean good ivs great moveset for offence and defense.

Wait what lvl are you and what lvl is your pokemon.

the pokemon is at 26.5 and I'm at 33

Yeah If you power it up it could get maybe above blisseys depending on your area because it would end up around 2700, and it would be a great sight for sore eyed attackers.

If I max it out the CP will be 2735

Yes with out a shadow of a doubt power it up like I said all people who attack gyms would love to see a less familiar face in a gym.(ps you would also be letting all the people with umbreons and gengars finally be able to use these pokemon)Also in my opionion he is harder to beat than most of the big seven.

So you should be able to get that Espeon maxed out at about 2740CP or so for your level? If I have the numbers correct.

Where does 2740CP get you in gyms in your area? If it can get you mid gym or higher on a consistent basis I say go for it. It will do significant damage to attackers weakening them for the rest of the gym.

It is rated c but because of confusion It would work just fine I think the c rating is to harsh.

It's rated c for how late future sight fires with it's low hp. Run some sims and make the call. It helps quite a bit if you push it past 30 as much as you currently can.

I have an Espeon sitting at 2830CP and love having that beast sit in a gym. @ 2800+ it usually sits in a fairly high spot in the gym. Never will be at the top but sits in a position where they have to have a plan for dealing with it.

Confusion hits hard and the first three attacks come quick. Usually there is a dodge bug that doesn't let you dodge all three. Even one of them hitting does significant damage.

When I get another 90% Eevee that is good I plan to evolve it to another Espeon.

I second this, though I've got mixed feelings about future sight. At a high level it probably passes the threshold and becomes very good, but confusion and psybeam are dangerous no matter what. Espeon can be a beast.

Also note that this Espeon is an excellent, potion efficient, attacker with future sight.

For what it's worth, I have a 98% level 30 Espeon with ZH/Psychic. It took out a 3000 Snorlax (L/HB) today. It took plenty of dodging and took me down to very close to 0, but it did the job. C/FS ought to be better as an attacker.
