Double-Dragon Kingdra

Finally i evolved a DB / O Kingdra. Now i am wondering, what to do with it.

As defender, its CP are too small.

As attacker, there are always better options. Its double resistance against water and fire are reading fine, but it is slower than an attacker with greater att-stat and/or SE - Attack into fire - Vaporeon is better; Attack into water - Venusaur or Exeggutor are better

As a prestiger, the same as stated above is true - prestige against water, i better use tangela, to prestige against fire, i use one of the many stone or water pokemon with single resistance and STAB+SE.

A double-water-kingdra would be perfect to attack or prestige against fires, but these cases are rare and i do not have such a kingdra.

Do i overlook anything? Is there any application, where my kingdra would be the very best option?

Having read my question, i found a first case for myself:
An attack- or prestige case with fire and water directly piling up, so i do not need to change attacker. - in this case, my kingdra would work, but any lick-snorlax would still be better.

It is a cool mon to have but there are better options as you point out. However, if you are attacking a low level gym, she'll do just fine as a generalist.

If you have litteraly 0 ice types than he could prestige dragonite.

Lately, i evolved my second FB/Av-Cloyster. I am very happy with both of them them. I now rarely use my pilow-swines and my cp1400-Lapras. Still looking for a double-ice-jynx.

Thanks for your idea, fortunately, i have got better options. :-)

Kingdra is not bad at all.. I used to use against Dragonite.. but it had only Charge Attack dragon.. the other was water.. now I only use Lapras since I have only 1 hatched with excellent IVs and double ice.. so .. it's logic.. but Kingdra is good yeah!

It's one of the most fun mons to use in battle. Enjoy.

it's good against Dragonites that don't have dragon breath (it's weak against DB). it's a very fast way to kill a Dragonite.

It's niche is if you want to prestige a Fire/Water both back to back.

Otherwise, there's something better to switch to and from each time.

The fact that better exists, is why I want a WG/HP one over the double dragon one.

He's useful against Steel wing dragonites. He has a more powerful outrage than a gyarados outrage. However, get hit by a DT dragonite (or just about any dragon move from a dragonite except DB) and you're screwed.

Also an excellent dodger due to the low cooldown of DB, even easier than jynx, cloyster, lapras, gyarados etc
