They could have done a dragon-type event for Chinese New Year.

I also don't have my Ice Gold Metal.
Need 47 more.

I have my steel Gold metal. With out going too far out of my way, I can get to place where they always seem to spawn. I do need to go there more often, I'm taking it for granted, when I should be stockpiling the candy.

I want another Pikachu event. Lvl 38, basically won the game, and still have only 125/300

It is but the pokemon mafia pressed the pokemon creators to made it ground instead (bug is the pure good poor guy light side).

Ice would be good, yes. Looking at my medals, I've caught well over 1000 each of bug, water, and plant types, and 2k-4k for poison, flying, and normal, but only 20 ice. Fighting (28 caught), steel (16), dragon (11), or even fire (153) or rock (140) would also be good.
