Is Bubblestrat dead?
Is anyone using Bubblestrat sucessfully or did the new arena updates make it useless?

it's not whether it works or not, because battle mechanics are the same.
it's whether it's still worth the time spent getting a gym to 10 when gaining gym prestige is halved from what it used to be, and removing prestige from an enemy gym has been doubled.
what's the poinf of training up a gym to 10 if it's not going to hold for even a day?
sorry for missunderstanding your question.
if it is worth to push an arena on level 10 is your own decision. you know that ripping down an arena is twice as easy as before. but it is still the most effective way (if you are alone or with others who can use bubblestat too) to get it on 10. it is just like before but takes twice as long.
I just do it for free XP when I can't be bothered going out to catch pokemon. With it being cold I don't go out to get pokestops as much as I used to, that I'm running out of pokeballs.
There's a gym that's near my house (about 100m I guess), so sometimes I can access it if my GPS is being inaccurate.
Also there's a gym that's right on a bus stop that I wait at (the bus stop isn't the gym), so I bubblestrat then too when I'm waiting for the bus.
Even if I were to get the gym to level 10, I doubt it would even get filled. The town I'm in, team instinct is the least represented, and most players have quit or at least not playing during winter.
To be honest, I haven't seen any high level gyms anymore. The 50% reduction to training prestige basically means there's no incentive to train gyms, so all I see are level 3 and lower gyms now.
From my experience, now the only gyms that will be left alone long enough to hold for more than a day are Lv8+ gyms with 2000+ pokemon. Except because of the training changes, more players are just dropping sub-2000 pokemon in gyms, and it is harder to train against pokemon that go 1400, 1700, 1900 and get the most prestige possible. It is a vicious cycle.
If I had pokemon to do bubblestrat, that seems like it might still be worth trying out. I assume you probably have your attackers named so you can sort alphabetically and quickly choose your team of six low CP attackers.
