Tyranitar worth powering up?
Hi, I evolved a lvl 20 89% Tyranitar and it got IT/FB. Is it worth powering up and using for offense/defense? Have 27 candies leftover. Thanks!

I got my first and only T-tar (98%) with those moves. Tempted to max out and place in a gym, but holding off, because the moveset is far from its best.
Think about this and decide:
1. Are Larvitar common for you?
2. Do you badly need a daily coin earner? (applicable only if you can power this up well beyond 3000 CP right now)
If the answer is Yes to any one of the above, go ahead and max it out. Otherwise, wait...gym rework/PvP/CP rebalance may have a surprise in store.
It doesn't have to be a choice of max out or waste the 125 candy you spend evolving. For example, a 98% T-tar should have a CP of ~3140 at level 30. That's enough to be in the top few of 95+% of gyms in my area, so in my area, there would be no need to max it out. I'd much rather keep it at level 30 and save the candy for a 2nd one that hopefully has a B/SE attacker moveset (moveset doesn't matter much if used as defender, given how weak it is with any moveset).
