Think of the Kids... ironically Driving

I have noticed that my kids are quickly playing less pokemon ever since the driving changes.

The first change on spawns, I could see as the game was about walking. But it did take away a source of enjoyment when we would see something on Radar and Family Bond over finding it. Still while I disliked it, I could at least understand the effect they were shooting for.

The second change about Pokestops though is having the opposite effect. We live in an area with 1 walkable/bikeable pokestop near by. Those pokeballs my kids gathered as we drove to the store are what prompted them to go outside and explore and walk/bike around to play.

No pokeballs = No play.

Niantic doesn't "think". If they did, they wouldn't have made these terrible back to back decisions and let their game die. At this point I recommend any of the remaining players to boycott buying coins for real money. Hitting Niantic where it hurts will be the only way to show we are not pleased.

I don't think the moves are terrible in themselves - the game was never intended to be about driving around, but I think addressing the distribution of pokestops better so that those who don't live in a densely populated area can play more easily is needed.

The game certainly favours those in dense urban environments.

I can't see anyway that the developers can fix the application so that passengers can collect whilst on the move but those supposedly in control of a vehicle can't.

I've wondered why basic poke balls weren't unlimited or at least given out daily from the start. My Nine year old wanted to play on his tablet at home when the game came out(he has no cell phone), I told him no because I knew he would quickly get frustrated when he ran out of balls.

"No pokeballs, no play" exactly

Yes a daily small drop of standard balls wouldn't make much impact on their revenue, and would help a lot of people.

Sadly, I think the game is unfair to rural players...If it was me, I'd probably not even bother at this point since like you said, no pokestops means no playing...paying for pokeballs seems unfair.

Yeah free to urban players and incredibly expensive to rural players is really lopsided. At least make them super cheap. Example 10 coins:50 balls
