Ampharos No Love?

I'd need one first to have an opinion. :)

Vaporeon? If it has VS it should be pretty amazing.

Electric in general has no love right now. Sorry :(

I have a level 30 Ampharos with Charge Beam/Zap Cannon, and I do use him quite a lot as our meta is crawling with Gyarados and Vaporeons. However, I just find Jolteon (Thunder Shock/Thunderbolt) better. Ampharos is tankier though, but I appreciate how fast Jolteon kills Gyarados.

So I basically use him as backup to Jolteon against Gyarados and occasionally as backup to Exeggutor against Vaporeon.

Mine has an average moveset...Charge Beam/Thunder.
It is lvl20, as it was evolved from a hatch - candies are rare, so powering it up is not really an option, and I have better movesets on Jolteon to use as a prestiger.

If I could power it up I might be tempted to use it, but basically it is not much more than a dex entry....a nice dex entry that not everyone can boast YET, but it can't really be more than that until I can feed it candy.
Even then, I would probably prefer a different moveset before I spend dust and candy to power it up.

...but thanks for the reminder, I might give her (mine is a her) a test as a prestiger of Gyarados.

I have a volt switch/zap cannon, I use it to prestige occasionally (lv 20). Volt Switch is painfully slow and thankfully ampharos is bulky enough to take some hits. In my opinion it's not even worth dodging. Wish I had charge beam :/
Zap cannon is juicy

I have a Lanturn with Charge Beam/Thunderbolt that I have tried using a few times for prestige. Charge Beam is awkward for attacking. I wish Lanturn had Spark and Ampharos had Thunder Shock. (Both moves they can learn in main series games.)

I was so excited when I was able to evolve this guy and then this happened...why does he even have this moveset?

I use my Volt Switch/Thunder Ampharos on prestige quite a lot. She's tanky and does quite a lot of damage.

finally got candies to make my 15/12/12 Ampharos with charge/zap -- hit's like a champ. charge hits quick and next thing you know zap is ready to fire. I played around with a tyranitar and a snorlax today and he worked great. obviously a machamp would work better...but, Ampharos can still hit.
