Anyone else still experiencing increased spawns and diversity?

So despite the event ending I went to pick my fiancee up from work and checked the nearby since I was bored. Now she works at a farm park in the middle of nowhere, its well known and has a gym and poketsop so greatly benefited from this past event. Once I arrived I checked the nearby list and was shocked to see a Charizard shadow (didn't have one yet) this place normally ever only spawned eevee's at the best of time so I wonder if anyone else is still experiencing this too?

Wow, nice catch!

Several things probably conspired to make this happen:

  • Niantic reduced the spawn rates for commons like Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat.
  • Most spawns now have despawn time of 30 minutes instead of 15.
  • There seems to be more active spawn points than before.

I'm still slow walking my Charmander for candies. One day...

Are you sure they really reduced Pidgey spawn rate? I just saw 6-8 pidgey suddenly pop up under the gym close to my house.

I dont think they reduced pidgey spawns only during the holloween event. Rather no more pidgeys from eggs.
