Rumor: Nintendo will be selling a Nintendo phone...

And you will have to have one if you want to trade in PoGo.
Would you go buy a Nintendo phone?
I won't!

If it has great battery life and is not over priced I won't mind ( planning to buy a phone any way )

I'd sell all my mon to the 12 year old that would actually get a Nintendo phone and stop playing. This is a terrible marketing scheme. I wouldn't be caught dead at work with a Nintendo phone.

Don't believe it. Wouldn't buy one either, Nintendo has its own stuff to worry about building a phone would be a waste.

A potential device like Go Plus or New Go Plus model that will assist in trading is much more likely.

If they need special hardware to facilitate trading, they could just make it like the Square credit card reader which plugs into the audio jack.

I feel like ninantic would get a lot of backlash to limit trading to such a small proportion of players

Am ok with them doing a phone , but am still against the whole trading idea , imagine the spoofers and how many snorlax and blisses the have , then imagine those distributed and fucking up the gyms even more , I really hope trading never comes to real life

Get over it trading will eventually come and we would've had to deal with spoofers anyways when it comes just like how we deal with genned pokemon in the main games.

Hehehehheheheheehe nintendo is so stupid, you have to be so stupid/rich/both to buy a phone just to trade on pogo. The only way I would buy it is if I could play every nintendo game ever made by a regular app store/ google play price, like pokemon platinum for 5 dollars, with the possibility to trade with ds and switch AND use sd cards and the physical version of all the games since DS.

This is an unsubstantiated rumor.

Just the same, the point of doing this would be to insure that any traded pokemons were caught with a Nintendo phone and traded to a Nintendo phone as well.

Niantic has already stated that location would be important in their trading implementation. Phones that cannot lie about their location could easily be part of their plan.

I wouldn't buy the first generation of any phone, no matter the company.

It doesn't even need to be a phone really. It needs GPS and the ability to interface with Google Maps.

Nintendo has experience with hand held devices.
