There is a person in who has chosen the area where I live to grab as many gyms as possible using bubblestrat to place in blisseys from his 10 accounts.
Nothing is more heartbreaking than seeing every gym full of blisseys. This guy does not stop at 10 gyms, or 20 gyms, he just keeps on grabbing and grabbing.
The local players try to fight back but every morning it is back to the Blisseys.
There is no way 10 people are traveling around each night to each gym in some sort of bus. Even the trainer names have the same root name.

should we all go on a money strike until niantic addresses spoofing.
niantics latest change is mostly a minor nuisance to trackers more then anything else.
They have been obsessed at every turn with reducing trackers, probably because of the server load but there seems to be little real action to close down spoofers which are usually far more annoying (admittedly most cheaters use multiple forms of cheating).
Honestly it is making the game very hard to enjoy.

so far almost all of their anti cheating activity is specifically aimed at trackers though and yes they do give a significant advantage (if the in game tracker was more useful it might not be such an issue) but little ever seems to be done about spoofing. It is like they barely give a %^&* because it doesn't strain their servers they don't care it is wrecking half of the game for legitimate players.
as a post note it would be nice if they found some way to address team balance as well.
I honestly consider spoofers and boters and tracker users in the same category ( cheaters ) , while the tracking system is not good by any measure doesn't permit to cheat and in some cases a cheater complain about another kind of cheating
Side note : spoofers can effect a small percentage of the whole player base , while bots and trackers can lag and effect the game on larger scale ( may be that is the situation )
As I see it spoofing in it self is just a transportation cheat. Used locally, compared to walking it is just marginally faster than a car.
But I guess no spoofer just spoof. They use scanners to know where to go, and/or bots to increase efficiency. As far as I know scanners use bots to get data, so botting is in my opinion the core problem to adress.
Without bots/scanners spoofing would be less attractive and much less disturbing for others.
