GamePress

Why are there still movesets that have not been updated?

I don't understand why GamePress has left several Pokemon with movesets whose grading has not been updated/completed despite claiming on March 23 that moveset grades were complete. The incomplete ones include Scyther, Starmie, Porygon, Porygon2, Farfetch'd, and Togepi.

Seems odd and careless.

Honestly they care a lot, it's just they spend a lot of time running simulators before updating movesets.

I understand the 'Hidden Power' variations can be time consuming - and finding a way to display them may be part of the issue.

Scyther though, and ones like that I don't understand. Scyther makes the best DPS page for his flying moveset, and yet these are not even rated on his page - not his flying quick move or charge move appear anywhere in the ratings...even though he is best raw flying dps in the game.

So some of it I get the delay...some just seem to have been missed altogether.

GamePress seems not that anxious as it once was..

Not complete? I think grading the hundreds of other movesets for the other mons still counts as complete. You see how many sets some have? Charizard has 12, that's just for a single pokemon. Definitely not careless. Leaving out a few mostly useless pokes for a bit should deserve a pass yeah?

Except that Scyther has the best dps for flying types...so I would not put that in the 'useless' pile.

Sure, I will grant it is not key to the current meta, but best in class is indeed relevant.

Yeah that's the only reason I said mostly. I still use scyther/starmie for prestiging every now and then myself. The others...I'm surprised players even looked farfetch'd page.

Huh? That's not what complete means and you should know that if you are a native English speaker. If you are missing some, then it is incomplete.

Of course not — not when you announce it was completed.

:) It's just funny that it's free quality content given to you and players have made multiple posts complaining about farfetch'd, Togepi, etc.

Rewind back to the update...the staff hurried and put out some gym relevant ratings while working on the bulk. Players were making many, many posts asking what's taking so long with the others(it hadn't been long at all) while also complaining about the already released ratings which were still under review.

Then, when the bulk was "complete" it was posted as such so everyone knew they could start checking them out. Then it was.."wth! No starmie? You lied"

Chill man. It's not a big deal. It's just a few missing, you will be ok.

"Quality" is from the user's perspective (e.g., what the user wants/needs/desires) not from the producer's perspective. And different users will likely have different judgments on what constitutes quality. But creating altermative facts ("it's complete; just a few are missing") is very Orwellian and not at all illustrative of a quality approach.

Pokemon Go as a game is also free quality content, but that hasn't prevented most of us from criticizing what Niantic does not do so well.

And instead of seeing all of this as "complaining," GamePress should instead see it as feedback and an opportunity to become better by increasing user satisfaction and delight.

By the way, I acknowledge all the hard work done on the movesets. My criticism was not on what GamePress did, but on what it didn't do. I assume you are a member of the staff, and I am surprised that what you are now displaying is not a careless attitude, but a care less attitude. Apparently although what's missing has been pointed out, there will be no attempt to amend this.

I mean no disrespect; just being candid.

Maybe they just forgot about them. I've found missing movesets too. For pokemon like onix and butterfree and seadra.

Some of this has been said, but the non-updated seem to fall into a few sensible categories:

  1. Hidden Power: these mon (like Starmie, Porygon, Porygon2) have something like 50+ movesets now.
  2. Evolvables: these mon (like Scyther and Togepi, but also Golbat, Chansey, Seadra, and Onix) aren't final stage any more.
  3. Other: not sure why Farfetch'd isn't updated. I'd guess it just isn't as relevant as some of the other regionals.

I'm sure it would clear up some regularly-occurring confusion, however, if GP simply cleared the old rankings entirely or included a note that they're in need of updating.

Don't all of Porygon2's hidden power moves basically fall into a single low catagory due to no stab?
