Whoa how does that work?

I think people post on twitter the location of the pokemon.

Obviously relies on a large and active player base in a very popular area, who actually keep posting the findings.

Dunno if the people doing the actual posting are going around legit and just finding them, or using scanners or what

hmm...i suppose its still legit technically.

Pushing it though IMO.

Regardless...enjoy your Pokemon, I could only hope for catches like this within a period of several months.

I don't get it. There's a twitter feed saying where good catches are? And then you drive to the spot?

What is your question?

It tells you the exact location , moveset & iV & it's not based off players input .. the people who run it know exactly when the Pokémon spawn. Usually have 29 min per Pokémon & the link leads you right to them thru google maps

If it is not based on players input, it must be based on bots. So the service is illegal.

Hopefully, niantic will be able to do big data analysis to player's movement profile and easily find those virtual non cheaters. They could simply transfer all the pokemon gathered this way.

How it works

Every major city have a twitter feed like this. NYC have a few feeds like this but NYC is so large you may be in Brooklyn and they tweet a pokemon with good IVs in the Bronx there is no way to get there within the spawn window. Even if you are in the Finical District and they Tweet one in Central Park the commute time will be greater than the spawn timer.

The issue is that it relies on user input now. Most of these feeds are now inactive because they used bots that find and automatically tweet out the locations but Niantic shut those down.

As an NYC player you are better camping out in Central Park around Bethesda Statue, Bryant Park on the 6th avenue side or Prospect Park.by the Picnic House

Cheat or not to cheat , that is the question.

Ask yourself this question:
Q: Why do I play this game?
A: walk around outside and catch mons.
B: drive to catch the mon.
C: use a joy stick to catch the mon.

This is the only game I play, so I choose A.

The problem is, that A, B and C compete for the same gyms.
Yes, there is walking, skating and motor biking. There are challenges. But there is no challenge with walkers, skaters and motor bikers competing against each others.
So, if the rule says, only walking is allowed, skaters and motor bikers are disqualified.
