All 2km eggs all of the time.

Damn. Obviously the rate of 2km eggs has increased markedly for this event, but it is reaching levels of sillyness. I have so far been given 27 eggs from Pokestops. Here's how they break down:

10k: ZERO
5k: 2 (both turned out to be Chikorita)
2k: 25

92,6% of my eggs have been 2km? Really annoying given how the 10km eggs during the event almost only gives good stuff. How about the rest of you?

I got two 10 KM eggs that I'm close to hatching and everything else has literally been 2 KM eggs.

If you're unaware, several Pokemon that were previously in 10k eggs are now in 2k eggs, such as Lapras, Tyranitar and Miltank.

Egg distance does not change the chance of getting a specific Pokemon, since the Pokemon is determined upon getting the egg, and then whatever distance is required to hatch it, that's what egg you're given, so making rare Pokemon that were previously in 10ks now 2ks doesn't make them harder to get since the list of Pokemon in 2k eggs has become higher, they're just as rare as they were before, but now you don't have to walk 8 extra km.

they're just as rare as they were before, but now you don't have to walk 8 extra km.

But you get less candy from a 2km hatch than from a 10km hatch. I don't the think the tradeoff is a good one.

In fact, if you are going to power up a rare hatch from a 2km egg that would normally have come from a 10km egg, you probably will need to spend more total time walking than you would have had to if you had received the extra candy initially gained from a 10km hatch.

Good thing our research shows most mons to be far less rare than their normal tiers in regards to the ones moved to the 2K eggs.

Yes...many of the eggs that would be 10km eggs, are now handed to you as a 2kms egg and you will get the mon by only walking 1/5th of the distance.

...and a lot of the more useless and annoying mons hatched from eggs have been removed from the available pool.

If you would have got one of those mons still found in a 10km egg, then you will get a 10km egg.

you will get the mon by only walking 1/5th of the distance.

But as I said above, you will probably end up walking it more total distance to power it up because of the less candy received, more than wiping out the distance initially saved.

One single 5K egg and the rest 2K for me.

I've received about 50 eggs. 5 have been 10km. Only hatched one, a dratini. 3 or 4 5km, chikorita and a totodile, and more 2km than I can count. Hatched my first Sneasel, Togipi, and a few others so I won't complain.

Yeah I see you, I've been trying to do the most hatches I can to get more xp and more useful mons yet no ten k egg yet. Also I still find it hard to get a egg, it takes me 40-50 stops (sometimes double) to fill my bag with eggs. Only got 2 5'a and about 30 2's

I've gotten 16 2K eggs, 3 5K and one 10K. Seems about right

It's been determined that the pokemon comes before the egg. It means the rarity and chances of getting a certain pokemon have nothing to do with the color of the egg. Niantic really needs to change this and make all of the 10K eggs contain the most rare pokemon so that it aligns with all the idiots who can't understand how the system works.
