Eevee evolution confusion.

I m walking an eevee for my 2. Espeon atm. Name trick gave me Confusion/Psybeam which is a defender set i guess and i want a FS one.
But i m confused myself about something. Let's say i walked my eevee more then 10 km. Let's say i did 16 km. Will it mess up the evolution?

Nope...as long as it has earned 2 candys, and is still your buddy when you evolve it, then it will work.

Everytime...the name trick works only once for each eeveelution, but for Gen2 you can guarantee the eeveelution you want with this trick any time you want - Umbreon evolved at night, Espeon evolved during the day, while it is being your buddy and gaining 2 candies.
