ZH/HB Snorlax is very great on defense too. Dragonites with SW/DP or SW/DC are very usefull, you will even stay in the middle/top of the gym and his high stats turn him a beast. About ur Arcanines and Gyaradoses really sad, but any Vaporeon can do better than Gyarados so i would be sad just cuz of the dogs.

I evolved my fourth arcanine and second gyarados. Twister and bulldoze again. That doesn't sound so out of the realm of possibility,BUT
4 arcanine: bulldoze
2 gyarados:twister
All 6 dragonite: SW
ALL THIRTEEN snorlax with no slam!
Sure SW/DP dragonite is great on defense, but it's an offensive Pokemon. Sure ZH/HB Snorlax is great on offense but it's a defensive Pokemon.
I get perfect movesets on mid tier mons all the time, but never these. Have they changed the odds to increase grinding time?

Oh I know, I think hyper beam is on par with slam. I just wanted to fully upgrade one of each. I've got a TON(over200)of snorlax candy saved up. Just think it's odd I haven't got one yet.
I'm a huge dragonite defender fan. It's just I have so many defenders and no top tier attackers. I keep getting dragonites with the EXACT same moveset. I was jumping for joy for my first sw/dp, then second. But I can't keep more than two upgraded.
I just figured they read the tier lists put out by players and changed the odds. I guess I just have really odd luck getting backwards movesets on attacking/defending mons and just plain shit luck with arcanine and gyarados.
Dude, my condolences. Me and my GF together evolved 6 arcanine together and none had bulldoze. We evolved 8 gyrados together and only one had twister. But...we both evolved 6 dragonite. Only ONE had dragon breath. I really thought certain movesets are more prevalent especially with dragonite, but some have had other experiences.
It's been proved that the odds are the same for every moveset, sorry for your bad luck.
This is a big problem tho, some moves are just so bad on some pokemons... like, you can have a vaporeon, venusaur or even poliwrath that can roll good moves and not so good moves and that's ok. Then you have moonblast vileplume, bulldoze arcanine, twister gyarados, icy wind seel/cloyster, gem power starmie that are just useless. Idk if it's bad balancing or they just want people to grind more but either way they should really change this.
I read wild Pokemon were random. Are hatched/evolved Pokemon random?
I've got icy wind cloyster and dp lapras(upgraded anyways, screw it not so bad)
Edit: looking at snorlax cps it looks like all hatched had lick earthquake. Caught had a mix of Zen/lick HB/eq. Hard to be 100 percent sure about 1 though
Ok.. I was about to feel bad for your Gyarados because that is such a long term investment, but then I saw you have THIRTEEN Snorlax?! WTF?! HOW?
I have hatched ~80 10-km eggs - ONE of them was a Snorlax, and I found one really crappy one in the wild. So, consider yourself extremely lucky. Also, who gives a damn about its moveset. It's a pain in the ass to defeat no matter what moves it has.
