3 Dragonites in 3 hours, luck or event?

I never saw a dragonite during my time playing pokemon... i caught 1 dratini so far, and i'm about lvl 27, i played when the game start, stop for months and comeback now, i today in only 3 hours i caught 3 dragonites, is that luck or the event increase the rate? I also caught 2 Snorlax in 2 days...
Btw my city is rly bad for pokemons, only 3 pokestops.

Fwiw Dratini seem to be in totally different areas than Dragonites. I hope you guys in the Mt moon area are getting an elevated rate. Sounds fun.

i have seen 2 dratinis EVER in the wild.. i got 4 in eggs TOTAL and 3 of those eggs were in the last month.

I have never EVER seen a dragonite anywhere anytime along with any of the rare pokes.. lapras, aero, scyther, snorlax, etc.

Game is so unbalanced its frustrating. But awesome i got 7 tangelas and 3 porygons.. sweeeet.. fuck that

Play more.

It's less unbalanced the more you play. Also you aren't competing against online wonder-claims, you are competing against guys with the same limitations as you.

So while I understand your frustration, play more.

If its that big of a deal to you, use a scanner. I have found that whether I cant or evolve pokemon, they are usually disappointing. You really just need to keep hatching eggs and evolving. Buying incubators is key.
