Exeggutor Dilemma, please help!

Recently I have been hatching/finding a lot of exeggcutes which I have been evolving to exeggutors. I have the following exeggutors:

1) Exeggutor, 2201 CP, IV 89, Moves: ZH/Solar Beam
2)Exeggutor, 1669 CP, IV 93, Moves: Confusion/Solar Beam
3) Exeggutor, 1668 CP, IV 93, Moves: ZH/Psychich
4)Exeggutor, 2104 CP, IV 98, Moves: ZH/Seed Bomb
5) Exeguttor, 571 CP, IV 91, Moves: ZH/Solar beam.

I have about 130 candies and I can get more. Realistically I can power/want to power 2 or 3 of them to max level of 31.5.

Which ones should I focus on? I have had no luck evolving one with the best defensive move of Confusion/Psychic. I also have 2 which are ZH/SB but the highest one is below 90%IV and the other ones is too low cp.

I basically want to know which 2 or 3 you guys would max out? Take in mind I want both offensive and defensive ones.

max out number 1 and 5. Zen Headbutt and Solar Beam Exeggutor is one of the best attackers in the game. Exeggutor is really an offensive monster and solar beam is broken with that pokemon. In the world of dominant water type pokemon, exeggutor is perfect in the meta. I've been evolving 4 exeggutors with no luck of getting that moveset so consider yourself lucky. Wished I had those pokemons.

No point powering up 2 with the same moveset anyway. Especially when one of them requires that much dust & candies.

First one for attack, second or 3rd for defence (not much in it - 2 has better primary move, but solar beam can be dodged, 3 has better secondary move)

1 for attack and 3 for defense, imo

If you are looking to power two of them, power the number 1 and the number 3. If looking for three, power number 1, 2 and 3.

93% Confusion, Solar Beam would be my main priority for powering up to put in gyms. Confusion is beastly in gyms. Exeggutors with confusion and any charge attack are all pretty close defensively.

Zen Headbutt, Solar Beam can be good for attacking if you don't dodge. If you try to dodge most attacks though, a single Confusion fits in between dodges better and I think generates energy faster than Zen Headbutt.

2201 CP ZSo should already pretty good for fighting against a lot of 2000-2500 water types, so you don't really need to power it up much anyway.

It was pretty hard to find, but here I found a nice website which lists the best movesets for each Pokemon: https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/

Just click on the Pokemon List and look for Exeggutor

Put your exeggutor Number 4 in a gym and you will see that it constantly use seedbomb!
Sometimes it uses it 3 Times in a raw!
As a defender I prefer seed bomb to solarbeam.
Try it by attacking several time and then try a exeggutor with solarbeam.
You will see that dodging seedbomb is really anoying because even if it's not a powerful charge move, when it is used several times it can become a burden fast for attackers.

Seed Bomb is a lot better than Solar Beam for defense, it does more damage and it's harder to dodge, not much to compare there.

Yeah better than Solar Beam but worse than Psychic.

In a vacuum vs. Normal type Pokemon, Seed Bomb is actually #1 DPS defensive move...even higher than Psychic.

But you can't ignore types. Most people probably attack Egg with a bug Pokemon like Parasect/Scyther...and Psychic is much better vs. them. Also, Psychic has a lot fewer weaknesses and does full dmg vs. almost every mon

Seed bomb will do reduced dmg to almost every likely attacker. Fire, Bug, Poison, Flying, Dragon...you name it. Ton of weaknesses.

I know that very well, that's why I was talking about Seed Bomb vs Solar Beam which you might have noticed if you read carefully.

I would only max out the number 1. Number 4 is second best, but I would still recommend you to wait until you find Confusion/Psychic or Confusion/Seed Bomb to power up second one. Solar Beam is bad for defense and Seed Bomb is horrible for offense.

I have powered up 3 Exeggutors myself:

  1. 91% Zen Headbutt / Solar Beam
  2. 98% Confusion / Psychic
  3. 93% Confusion / Seed Bomb

Your number 4 with ZH/Seed Bomb isn't really bad for defense, but if you have easy access for Exeggcutes you might as well wait for the best moveset for defense. It's already at decent CP level too so there's not that much to gain for powering it up.

I feel your pain - took me until my 19th Exeggutor to get Con/Psy and of course it was a wild catch with 67% IV's. Still have yet to evolve one with these moves after 19 evolutions...while 2 of the 4 I've caught had it.

1 is a no brainer. Offensive monster.

3 will be the strongest vs. most likely attacker (bug Pokemon) and will also double as a sick attacker when he's not in a gym. So if you only do 2, that's why I'd do.

If you do a 3rd, do ZH/Seed Bomb. At the end of the day, CP is all that matters and his is highest. Also, it won't cost you much dust/candy to bump him up

I would power up 1st and 2nd, definitely.

1st for attacking only, 2nd for defense AND attacking also.

Such dilemma. Wow.

Power up 1 (higher DPS moveset) and 3 (especialized in psychc moves).

1st and 3rd for sure, 1st have the best attackin moveset, nice IV and nice CP already. 3rd have best defensive charge move, good iv and ZH is ALMOST the same as confusion for defense, it really doesn't make that much difference. Excellent mons dude!

Power up 1 for sure. 89% is perfectly fine. Great exeggutor for attacking, especially against Waters (including Slowbro and Poliwrath).

Power up 4. High CP, high IV, good offensive and defensive moveset. Sure, Confusion is better, but he'll be using seed bomb all the time regardless. Also will be a strong attacker if you have a lot of waters in your area. You can replace this with #3 if you want a double Psychic attacker, although I don't think there's any reason to need one.

Third choice is #2. Probably your best defender of the bunch.

5 is a total no-go. Way too low to be worth candies. Why bother evolving that one..?
