PoGo Easter Event Leak
Hello Gamepress,
So far I haven't seen a topic on the upcoming Easter event on this website. Are you guys exited for the double XP event? Evenmore, higher chance of rare Pokemon such as Lapras and Snorlax.

The event should start in a little more than 3 hours from now if it follows the same time schedule as the last event. Whether true or not, I would be very happy if this will actually be what the event is all about.

I've stated before that it'd be shocking if there wasn't an Easter/spring event IMO...
You have spring break now for lots of folks (kids/parents can play) and Easter is a big deal for a fairly large population...
Easter is also all about "eggs" and "candies".
If you're higher level (30+), I'd say you should actually play ALWAYS based on events...don't do evolve parties unnecessarily, etc...since levels are much slower and sadly, your goal is to "OUT PLAY" your teammates for higher spots in gyms.
I'm not sure what they meant with that. I guess we will find out in a couple more hours.
I find it incredible that Niantic can't announce this event their selves in a proper manner so that players can anticipate on upcoming event and even to build up some hype. Not sure why they must "surprise" us every time.
The UK Mirror quotes this story a little differently.
"From tomorrow, there will be a DOUBLE EXPERIENCE EVENT that will last a week. There will also be better egg hatch rates. This means that there will be more chances of rare Pokemon coming out as Lapras or Snorlax more easily,"
If that last section holds true, it basically screws anyone who has been saving their 10K eggs, myself included. We all know that the mon inside the egg is determined when the egg is dropped, so if you have 8 or 9 10K eggs, they are already assigned. Only new eggs that you pick up will have the increased chance of rare mons, and you have to walk out your existing eggs in order to get new ones.

It was your decision to keep the eggs back, this bet was lost, your hatches are delayed. But this does not any harm to you. You do what everybody else who has safed some coins or incubators would do:
Just put the eggs you are burdened with into incubators to breed them away, from day 2 of the event you can get the new eggs.
Yeah, not a real big deal...I got 8x 10km eggs and can hatch them in 1.5 days...I doubt I'd ever have enough coins to go full tilt 8 incubators anyways so better yet, I can time it with my 7 day streak and hatch them all during evolution party/etc...1 week is more than enough time to cycle a few 10kms even for me (and I'd guess many folks).
KMA! My post wasn't a complaint. It was a statement. Nowhere in my post did I say that I didn't like the game, or that I was even upset about it. And, if it's people like me who generate toxic feedback, it's people like you who make the entire social network system a cesspool.
Besides, the entire twitter post that started this all is just another unsubstantiated rumor.
I'm trying my best not to laugh but this is what's wrong with these forums and the world today. Everyone perceives everything based on their current state of emotion..
One will read your post as a statement like me and laugh it off because I saved 9 10K eggs and will be screwed if its all Pineco and Gligars. Someone else may come along and read the same exact post and take it as you are a self entitled whiny brat.
I actually think it is the other way round. If you have kept 9 10km eggs and you hatch them all during the double exp event, not only you will get the extra exp, but you will also have room for all those "extra rares" eggs that would be delivered during the event, making you store a high amount of those eggs.
