Gengar SC/SB

Gengar looks so freaking cool. I'm level 33 have 98% best moves at cp2000 looking for a reason to max him out. Honestly though have I have no idea what I would use him to attach into and seems like a waste of dust. Any advice for those that love him what do you use him against or someone tell me it's a complete waste.

It's not the best use of stardust, but it's strong enough as an attacker to justify using stardust on it and it's unique (not everyone has a good Gengar, let alone a good legacy moveset Gengar). If it'll allow you to enjoy the game more and if you don't have better options to power up, then enjoy your Gengar and max it out.

Doesn't have enough stamina to take out two high level opponents but I like to use them for attacking low level gyms. Has high dps with the right moves

Is SB Sludge Bomb or is it Shadow Ball?

Shawdow ball. I also have another 98% with SC sludge bomb as well though

Nice! What do you use him to attack in most gyms ( dragons, Tyran, snorlax, Blissey, Gary, vape) that's I see in gyms occasionally espeon

He's good for everything if you don't have or don't wanna use a hard counter for just one pokemon. It slices through Dnites, any psychic (make sure you dodge well though), even blissey and snorlax (despite them resisting ghost he's still one of the fastest pokes to.bring them down).

He rips through psychic and ghost types and Imo hes strong enough to use against normal types like snorlax as he resists some moves blissey too just not 3000+ maybe alone

I powered mine up for the same reason, and I kind of wish I hadn't. He's super cool, but doesn't last long even when dodging. He doesn't come out of the bullpen often. I'd like my dust back...
