Save your candies = TM & HM's?
Hopefully in two more weeks we will find out what save your candies means. I'm really hoping it will be the introduction of TM & HM's that would maybe drop from Pokestops based on the move's rarity. They would appear in a new items column and would require candy to teach to a Pokemon. I don't keep too up to date with their announcements, but has Niantic said anything about implementing TM's ever?

A lot of people speculated about St Patricks Day, nothing happened, then came the Water Festival, so far there have been events about once a month, if we get an event for easter it would break this pattern, as by then it will be less than a month since the water festival.
Even if we do get an easter event, how do TM/HM fit into that theme? Eggs and candies sorth of fit, but HM/TM do not. The issue with TM/HM is that it would allow players to get the best moveset into the pokemon with little effort, cutting the life of each pokemon generation.
Easter > St. Patty's Day lol
I'm still saving my candies. I'm expecting some sort of extended egg event. Maybe lucky eggs lasting twice as long. Maybe some special eggs you can walk or egg walking distance halved or something like that. Then people will want to spend money on incubators.
Easter = eggs.

Half distance eggs was something I was speculating, would be a first and would definitely get people moving. Easter eggs is an opportunity they shouldn't miss out on. Lucky eggs like you said could be doubled as well.
New eggs groups as an alternative? Or new Mon in eggs (switch out gen 1 starters for gen 2 and the like)
I know, but it's been too long since that comment and nothing happened, and again, what does easter has to do with TMs/HMs? Yes eggs (egg shaped pokemon, lucky eggs, half distance, more candy, etc) has been speculated to no end in thesliproad, but TM/HM's are a pretty long shot, because they have nothing to do with easter.
Having said that, if we trust the statement of one major update every trimester, we'll be getting the gym rework by the first hald of may :3
I've mentioned this before, but the only reason learn new moves makes sense is because mons with crap moves (Bullet/Heavy Slam Machamp comes to mind) are sorta dead and not useful...
Tied to Easter, you can resurrect all these dead and useless mons with new moves making them possibly useful again.
Even if it took full candies, it'd probably be worth it if you can't 100% get the same moves again...
It'd be nice if you can choose to learn a new quick/charge move since I'd guess for nearly everyone (outside of spoofer/bot cheaters), getting bad moves is the most frustrating thing in the game.
First off, "TM" and "HM" are too technical sounding for pokemon go. Maybe we can aquire a "Move Item", say "thunderbolt" and we can teach it to any pokemon and it overrides their existing move. It still seems way to complicated for Go.
If save your candy meant anything I think breeding. Why else have genders? Most of the pokemon have the exact same sprites for both genders so it's hard to imagine why else we got genders. They won't want you to breed too easily, so obviously it will cost a lot of candy = save your candies.
