Bubblestrat - if you can't beat em, join em :-/

I am so tired of spending sometimes an hour taking down an enemy level 10 gym, only to have my efforts thwarted by someone who happens to have a CP 20 Horsea or Polliwag with the bubble attack, and a CP 10 Diglett. That is time I could be spending walking, hunting, and actually being somewhat active, as I did in the beginning before I got caught up in the (honestly lame) gym portion of the game.

Personally I think Niantic should figure out a way to make this "legal cheat" impossible, or at least much more difficult. But until that day, I'm begrudgingly on the hunt for some of the lamest, weakest creatures I can find to fulfill that niche role of putting up a level 10 gym in minutes with almost zero effort.

The problem isn't that Bubblestrat exists. The problem is that when you take the gym down to 0, the game doesn't allow you to put a defender, and instead lets some jerk who didn't do anything sneak in before you just b/c he had nothing better to do than sit there and click on the gym over and over.

Or even worse, like in my area, a botter/hacker will immediately take it over within 3 seconds probably while they're fast asleep dreaming about all the coins they're going to get. At least with the first situation someone actually had to do a minor amount of work walking to the gym.

The real tragedy is there are at least 10 EASY ways to fix this issue once and for all. But here we are, no fix in sight

In my opinion, they're both problems, and they could both easily be addressed by Niantic if they want to retain players.

Just shuffle around gyms lv 10 gyms arnt worth taking down unless you have 3 friends attacking with you, just go spend your time earning your spot in a friendly gym of lv 6 or better.

I like taking down high-level gyms for the XP because now that I'm level 30, the amount of XP necessary to reach the next level is daunting without some serious gym battling. If you have lots of excess potions, may as well essentially "trade" them in for XP.

I'm beginning to see that the game becomes less fun the higher you get, especially after level 30. Power ups are vastly more expensive and give you much less CP - e.g. 6000 dust to get ~20 more CP on my best Arcanine (seriously?!). Honestly not sure how much longer I'll play. Many aspects of it are getting old.

I told it when they first announced bubblestratt, that niantic should nerf it and fast.

Its ridiculous that i have farmed my ass off for levels and now ppl take easy road to catch me up.

Niantic has made some strange decisions when it comes to changes and updates. I want patches and balances. Not a buddy system and appraisal. I didn't worry about people sniping gyms and bubble strat, I figured "that's an easy fix, probably next Tuesday" nope.
