scizor w/ Fury Cutter/Iron Head

is it worth to power up? right now my scizor has a bit more than 1500cp 93iv(hatched scyther>evolved).I wonder if i will be dissapointed with it bcs i dont have same type skills. I have scyther 91 iv, so can try get same type... or wait longer for even highter iv. Atm 37lvl

If you don't mind the mismatched moveset, Fury Cutter has good energy gain which will support Iron Head spam. Personally, I would wait for Bullet Punch

I like furry cutter, it’s kinda hard to make a decision on this mon. Although the IVs are a little low for my liking. If this is the best IVs you’ve ever gotten on a scyther then maybe you should power it up.

I have the same issue, FC+IH on my 97% Scizor. Decided not to power it up and try for same type moves on other > 80% Scythers, since I got plenty of those.
Movesets are way more important than a small difference in IVs.

Movesets are way more important than a small difference in IVs.

A small difference in movesets is even less important. Steel is super effective against ice, rock, and fairy. There aren't really any matchups in the current meta against fairy types to be concerned with. The only ice type likely to be defending is Lapras which is a water/ice type and water's resistance to steel negates steel's/Bullet Punch's super effectiveness against ice; Fury Cutter is neutral here as well. As for rock types, you'd only have to consider Rhydon and Tyranitar. With Rhydon having ground attacks that are super effective versus steel, it's not a good target for Scizor; that leaves us Tyranitar. But bug attacks are also super effective against Tyranitar, so there is no loss here with regard to typing.

Fury Cutter may even be better against Lapras and Tyranitar: Bullet Punch has more Power/DPS, but Fury Cutter has higher EPS and less cooldown time.

And in attacks where steel is neutral, the only ones worth considering are against Exeggutor, Espeon, Umbreon, and Donphan. Fury Cutter is double super effective against Exeggutor and super effective against Espeon and Umbreon, so its typing is better in these cases than Bullet Punch's typing; with Donphan, it is a typing tie, since both are neutral versus Donphan.

So I think arguably Fury Cutter/Iron Head is a better moveset overall for Scizor than Bullet Punch/Iron Head; at the very least, Bullet Punch/Iron Head is not way more important than Fury Cutter/Iron Head as a moveset for Scizor .

I evolved and got a double steel Scyther! BP/IH. Haven't tried it out yet but will report!

I use mine vs Snorlax and Blissey because Scizor resist all their best defensive moves.

I have FC/IH on my 96% I love it, I personally can't stand BP and honestly what do you use him on Rhydon? Much better options, I find the above moveset more versatile sure it's not same type but there are no eggs in my gyms and I can use FC/IH against pretty much anything even though not the most efficient he does well and so fun to use, try it vs dragon, gary, snorlax etc you will be surprised
