Water spawn change

Have the water spawns been reduced at water biomes? The lake near my house is virtually empty and a slowpoke spawn at a fountain is gone now. Anyone having a similar experience?

I don't see anything about reducing spawn amounts. I just see changing pidgeys to water type. Nothing about changing water spawn areas. My pokestop area is a lake. It's the only closely grouped stops in town. Huge bummer. 1 hour there and I got maybe 3 or 5 Pokemon. 2 of which were in parking area. Was non stop while walking before event.

Was slowpokes, magikarp, shellders, krabbys, etc. Now it's zubat and paras. Wtf.

opposite happens to me... before Halloween the spawns in my nearest pokeparada were all rats and pidgeots, now i see poliwags, goldeens, horseas and krabbys

Yea my Magicarp graveyard has turned into wasteland..however new areas are putting out a lot of poison, water, and fairy compared to last month. Dragons still hide counties away from me of course. )

Yeah I went to Walmart and saw horseas and poliwags in parking lot. I guess that's cool, but doesn't really make sense hunting wise

Water spawns haven't been reduced, but the blend has been changed. I've been tracking the data; it was 30% Magikarp, 15% each of Staryu/Poliwag/Goldeen/Psyduck, 7.5% Slowpoke, and 2% Dratini, and now is 20% each Staryu/Poliwag/Goldeen/Psyduck, 8% Slowpoke, and ~2% Dratini.
