Percentage of cheaters?
I've been reading lots of post recently about pogo taken hostage by rampant cheating. My question is this: how many of the daily active users do you think are cheaters?
Let's assume spoofers, botters and multi accounts are defined as cheaters.

I think about 60% on my city. I don't know anyone besides from my brother who play the game, on the park near my house I never see anyone playing and yet all the gyms are valor with at least level 9 with always the same 5 players on top. Very weird, but I don't have enough evidence to try to get them banned.
This is true. You underestimate the large numbers of very casual players that pretty much never mess with gyms much. No way in hell its over 30%. More likely 10% but those guys are way more visible.
The saddest part is how many casual players would be more involved if they didn't think that cheater accounts were normal.
last night on my walk I attacked 3 gyms. At one i was joined by a spoofer and the third spot was grabbed by another spoofer. (open area no cover) and at the other two i tried to take the gyms and was immediately countered by 2 spoofers. without seeing a single legitimate player in the 90 minutes I spent out. In the gym seen i would say about 75% spoofer with valor having the most number of spoofers and gym ownership in my area while encountering mostly mystic real life players when out walking.
I don't know the exact number but I know they are getting bigger day after day.
Know a game that was took over by cheaters and guess what. That's what wil happen to PokeGo if developers don't start to take serious actions against. I'm talking by my own experience in another game when cheaters started it was rare to find them around but years passed and the rare thing was to find fair players but all the game was dominated by cheaters at the end, being more than half of the players base.
Now this game in particular seems it's taking actions against cheating with BattleEye implantation (some external firm or something specialized in combating cheating) and so far it working nice.
So my advise is start take actions or game will end in the botters hands at the end and every day the situation will be worst.
hard not to see pogo bleeding legitimate players over this. The game is not that exciting to start with and it makes gyms which are only borderline entertaining to start with outright frustrating. And my guess is the average spoofer/bot spends very little real life money (why would you need to with 700 coins a week coming in)
If we count only the ones that interact with gyms probably around 30%-40% on my area. If we count all accounts selled, bots, hackers, spoofers and cheaters in general I would say that 65-70% of the accounts of this game are bots or spoofers.
Just a quick look around YT and you will see how many websites are selling bot accounts and all the subscribes and views to channels that shows how to cheat on PoGo.
About 80%-90% if we include bot account used for scanning.
Gym Wise pretty sure it's still 60%+ that is cheating on some way. In my area I'm positive to state we are talking about 75% of the players that is spoofing.
Overall, excluding bots, it will be still very high. I doubt that many people are still remaining who play the game just to catch Pokemon. Players that were like this before, have joined the battle scene in some way.
