Number of accounts (cheat??)
Is considered cheating having two different accounts and use the same phone to log in?
I was thinking about creating an account from another team and upgrade until lvl 10-15, in order to remove the weakest pokemon from level 10 academies controlled by my current acc team and them placing mine pokemon there.
It could sound unfair, but i dont see it like cheating.. What do you think? Could i have 2 accounts by terms of service? Do you think it is unfair?
(Sometimes the gym near my house belongs days in control from my team, being the weakest mon CP 3000 for example. I have a dragonite 3200 and snorlax 3100, and i believe ir could be better for the team depending of the other pokemon in that gym)....
EDIT: Sorry for the topic, i agree with the comments and regret about having thought of it. One answer in special, made reflect a lot about it.

Agreed that it's a TOS violation: "Methods of cheating include...playing with multiple accounts (one account per player, please)". That said, "shaving" gyms is clearly common practice.
That said, I disagree that "shaving" harms your team in the situation the OP describes, where the worst Pokémon is replaced by one that is better. The gym becomes stronger that way and less likely to be turned over to another team.
This is normally not true because STRONGER usually means a Gyarados, Rhydon, Dragonite...None of those would be, say stronger than a Blissey (who has lower natural CP), a Lapras, and probably a few others in terms of deterring attackers...Generally, high HP deters attacks since it takes longer.
People use this "stronger" as justification, but they are just kidding themselves honestly...or trying to find reasons to say it's ok.
People just want a spot in a level 10 gym and are willing to cheat to do it. Such is life and Pokemon Go.
Some are too lazy or don't know how to prestige so they do this also.

I was tending not to create the other acc because of the cited "disservice". I didn't know it was against the TOS, but that was not the main focus of my topic (responding to other comments).

I'm a common player, never cheated in any way and just wanted to know the point of view of people attending this forum, which I consider very sensible.
It is definitely against TOS (1 account per trainer) and is cheating...Gym shavers like this are my most hated players honestly.
I think people having to ask already know the answer, but that doesn't stop people from doing it.
Having 2 accounts may get both your accounts banned and if someone saw you, they will report you and hope all your accounts go byebye.
Just do what I do and wait or check and find more gyms...

What I meant about gym member assassination are those with multiple accounts from other teams. Have one main team and another account from another team to use to battle just to gain slot in a specific gym.
How does that work?
Kill off the lowest or regardless how high the slot, not in your "little active pogo group" in order to slot in to gain coins with your group with the use of an account from another team.
Why?
Because experienced slotted 2nd or 8th, my gym slot was taken over. And the one below and above are the same people who I was with before I got kicked out with an additional person.
This is no different being a cheat. This is as low as being a spoofer or a bot. You want to play, catch pokemons, take over gyms, meet friends and have fun playing coop game with other team members. Stop being a hypocrite about cheating.
Why so serious?
It's because cheating in these kind of games reflects your character in real life. So before throwing your shit, look at yourself first.

That is the one thing that it should never be used for. Wow. I have and account for each of my girls tied to phone. They are 6 and 8. I will sometimes swap over to get them a Snoralax just to make them happy. I get come home from work and say "look what Daddy caught for you today." When me and the wife take them Pokémoning with use we give them our old phones and use our hotspots so the can try catching some also. But you will never see any of there mons in a gym and they are both Valor like ours. Knocking off one of your own teams mons just to put yours in is a in my opinion probably the worst action you can do. Spoofers and Botters have better ethics then someone that does that. And the fact you can't grasp that concept and would press SAVE after you typed that shit make me wish there was a block user option on here so I would never have to see anything you might post ever again.
I can see 3 poke gyms from where I live. I see that happen all the time. I consider that cheating. I see that happen only in gyms that are full. No one wants to make a gym stronger thst is a 6 or 7 they just want to get in a full gym by binping out the lowest CP player. Now when I look to put a pokemon in a gym even a level 9 I skip it unless there are 2 or 3 lower CP pokemon in it.
if i ever would found out a guy is kicking lowbie from gyms to put his pokemons, insteand of being a trainer and go and get even lvl 10 gyms, i would definately ask or make an account from another team just to kick him out of gyms too even if he is at top, kicking your own color is the pussiest thing ever in this game, worse than pussying spoof
Even though you got plentty of awsers, I will state my point of view OP.
Even if some people say its against the TOS, since the begging of the game I had to share my girlfriend's phone in order to play, because mine was to crappy (the game itself allows you to have multiple google accounts loaded on the logging in screen, so I don't think they mind it).
That being said, this team "shaving" is just parasitizing your own team, being very toxic to the community and specially to the kicked player.
However, I've recently moved to a town were that practice is a habit. Barely no gyms are ever disputed, they are like set territory of each team. If you take one down, gps folks bring it back in 3 to 4 hours to same color as previously (I had to take down the same 2 gyms during 3 hours for than to give up, so I could collect two rewards. After an hour or so they came back, not sure if they were bots...)
Anyway, on each gym there is an internal dispute between that team players, so this meta makes it better to power up an 98% IV Rhydon with RS MH, than an 91% MS SE, since the 27 extra CP might save you for a week or so on the gym.
Consider that, if that s not an normal practice in your region, you will be helping introduce the worst cancer of the gym gameplay to it. Other folks will learn, and in some time many players will find it easier to parasitize than to take down a new gym, intoxicating the meta.
I don't understand why having more than 1 acc per player is considered cheating.
In my eyes cheating is not playing the game the way it should be, like all this people playing from his house instead of going out for it or taking over gyms from their house as well and all this stuff. This for sure deserve a big delate of the account. But having more than 1 account?
Ye rules say that is considered cheating but rules aren't always 100 % right just because they are rules. I really don't see anything bad or wrong with having more than one account always IF you play JUST one account AT ONCE. Of course running "multiclient" isn't a right thing to do and it's cheating.
But I insist, what's wrong on having more than one account? Doesn't matter if same team or not, I don't see anything wrong with that. Like if you are tired of one and want to make another, or you hit level 40 and want to start over with another one, or want to start with another different team than the actual one. What you gonna do if so delate the other acc just because you want a new one? Ofcourse not.
So in my opinion, having more than one account shouldn't be considered cheating in anyway. And note that I only play one but don't see nothing bad if some day I decide to create another one.

You sound like a nice guy, otherwise you wouldn't ask our opinions but just kick your teammates out of gyms. But would you enjoy the coins you could earn by doing that? They'll catch on, trainer names aren't secret.
Would you trade a few coins for your honor and your team's respect?
Please don't delete this, it can warn potential cheaters. But do post again, you clearly have a conscience (or you just wouldn't care.)
Thank you for your support. I'm not the kind of person that matches this attitude, though I cannot explain the reason why i had that bad idea. I think it has to do with the current gyms system that often becomes frustrating (does not justify anything) as cited in one of the answers. And NO, i will never do that. :) I'd rather stop playing as suggested by some members, after reflecting about it ("Would you trade a few coins for your honor and your team's respect?" => wise question and the answer is NO!).
Soon after I realized my big mistake I felt very embarrassed and tried a way to delete my account but thought about everything and realized that this topic could be useful to warn potential cheaters, just like you said. Because of that I added a note on the end of the original post, which remained exactly the in the same way.
I acted with disrespect and apologize to everyone. I recognize my mistake and I feel sorry for that.
I disagree with some comments/judgments that have been made about me such phrases like "Spoofers and Botters have better ethics". I respect all opinions, and I will not conflict with anyone because i really could have passed this image, but I wish to point out that some of the answers here could lead a person to become into a real cheater, especially in adolescents and immature people as well as like generating a major trauma in children. I believe the best way to correct someone is by explaining that in a non aggressive way, especially by those already adults and with children in home (maybe the same could be violating the TOS depending of its interpretation about "playing with multiple accounts" being considered a cheat, even in cases of close relatives - its not my opinion in situations like the cited by the member, but rules are rules). I’m not justifying my mistake.
Thanks again DeLana_99 for expressing your opinion and for having realized that I am not like this kind of people (cheaters). I can’t prove it, but would like to make it the most clear as possible. We all messed up sometime and it is important to recognize it.

My english is so bad (not my native language), and i really sounded like a very arrogant person when reading again my post. Really hope I have been able to express myself in a better way this time (not a excuse about my bad idea, just about the CP issue I have cited in the original post).

I've considered it because often I find myself kicked out of a gym. When I go to that gym thinking it had been taken down, I find that I only got kicked out because I was in the bottom spot so someone used their other account to take the gym down one level and then put themselves in a level 10.
Very tempting but I just can't bring myself to do that knowing how I feel when it's done to me. One gym especially bothered me when it happened because I took down that gym originally and did most of the prestiging to a level 10 only to eventually get shaved out
