Anybody keeping useless legacy pokemon?

I was making space in my pokemon storage when I stumbled upon a couple of high IV, but shitty legacy movesets pokemon.

Charizard with ember/dragon claw
Lapras with frost breath/dragon pulse
Gyarados with bite/twister

These are trash F rated movesets, and yet I don't transfer them. I don't know why, I doubt they have any trading value. Even if there was a moveset rebalance, they would never become optimal movesets because none benefit from 2 STAB moves.

Anybody else in the same boat?

I'm a hoarder, so I'm keeping mine. They have been moving towards making most movesets similar in damage. And you never know what will happen during the gym rebalance. They could change the mechanics of how charge moves work in general.

There's really no way to know that, rigth now STAB=SE=-NVE if the gym rework brings a better SE/NVE damage bonus and different gym mechanics, where coverage is important, then those F rated non STAB moves are gonna be more desireable. I'd hold on to good IV non common pokemon, regardless of moveset for now, unless you are really struggling for box space.

I have a 100 IV gengar with Shadow Claw/Dark Pulse. Absolute crap legacy moveset, but he's 100 IV so....

Yes, i'm holding many of them and won't delete cause they doesn't exist now, so, they are rare. By the way, i'm gonna be chasing some legacy Pokemons that i love, like Dewgong with Ice Shard/Icy Wind - which used to be one of his worst defensive or attacking MS and now it's the best defensive. I deleted many of them with that ms :(

High IV Gyarados with Twister are good for occupying gyms. CP is usually high enough to keep you off the bottom and Twister is hard to dodge so it will at least do some damage.

I'm keeping them but only because I want to trade them.

I have a similar set that I am keeping:
Charizard w/ wing attack/dragon claw
-Keeping B/C charmander is rare around me; so who knows when I will get another charizard
Lapras w/ Ice Shard/dragon pulse
-Keeping B/C it is not terrible against dragonite, just not as good as FB/Bliz. I may still use it in the event of multiple dragonites.
Gyarados w/ bite/twister
-Keeping B/C it is 98% and garados with any moveset is trash on defense other that the high CP for gym slotting. Also not terrible against psychic on offense.

Gyarados may not be a great defender, but the Dragon Tail movesets put out twice the damage of even the best Bite movesets, and probably closer to 2.5x Bite/Twister.

Gyarados gets a really bad rap because people are so used to fighting against the garbage movesets. Dragon Tail/Crunch in particular puts quite a dent in those squishy Jolteons. Try it out on some Gyarados that are actually good.

The one that immediately came to mind when I read this question is my crappy IV Dugtrio with Mud Shot/Earthquake. I used to use it a lot to prestige against I think ~1200 Arcanines. I have several Sandslash now with the same moveset and better IVs (let alone better basestats), but I still can't bring myself to trash the Dugtrio.

I finally got rid of my sad Frost Breath/Dragon Pulse Lapras this past weekend because I caught one with Frost Breath/Ice Beam at about the same CP to take its place. The F/D was a hatch with higher IVs, but F/IB will serve me much better and it is just for prestige so the IVs aren't too important.

Maybe they will add a way to reroll movesets in the future.

Gyarados with Crunch killed my Jolteon. Maybe I'm not a good dodger bug as this is REAL TIME fighting and there is no turns.. attacks aren't that bad after all... for real..
