when i press on an egg, below the location this strange date appear. same on every egg. what is going on?

Obviously all eggs are now time travelers from a time before the game existed.

I noticed the same thing two days ago. My opinion is that these are all OLD eggs that Niantic stockpiled in the cloud prior to releasing the game so that they wouldn't have to worry about running out of them.

Pretty sure this is just a "placeholder" date that is shown in case an error occurred while reading the correct date. This is probably just a coding error in displaying the date you picked up the egg, so the game just displays May 15th instead

Might be that older eggs received before the update don't have a date associated with them, and so this is a default that it displays instead.

but i pick up egg after update and its still may 15. every egg i check is same date

In my case, these are all recently aquired. I hatch about 5 eggs a day.
So, I'm still betting that Niantic put these eggs in the cloud before they released the game, and now they are using their stockpile. Like the government and cheese.
