Rhydon with rock smash

I've evolved 7 high IV Rhydons which are at least 89 each. Every single one of them, including my 100 IV Rhydon has gotten Rock Smash/Earthquake... My 2 lower IV Rhydons (69 and 80) have the movesets I want - Mud Slap/Stone Edge or Earthquake... Seriously, has anyone had this kind of luck with evolutions?

I only use rhydon to get high spot in the gyms, so not rlly caring move sets.
I have 89%, 93% and 95%

For attacking i would use mud slap/earthquake and even little bit lower IV would do just fine.

My 95% has mud slap/stone edge, but rlly dont care shit what move it has.

This is also my general consensus about Rhydon. I straight up hate attacking with him and I have a couple good MS/SE ones. Mud slap just doesn’t have the DPS and the animation is slow. I use them to skim gyms, just like Gyarados. I just hope the new gym mechanics update will fix some of this.

11 Growlithe evolved = 11 Bulldoze (8 Bite / 3 FF). I finally gave up on Arcanine...
3 Venusaurs = 3 RL / PB
5 Tortoise = not a single HP
3 Dragonites in a row = 3 SW / HB

Sometimes I feel like I'm cursed too ;-)

Arcanine with Bulldoze is not bad at defending gyms, at least it is ranked "B".

naah, every gym should have blissey blissey blissey.....see where i am going?

arcanine is only good for attacking

this game is not rocket science

Such a childish answer. Contrary to what you believe, not everyone has an army of Blissey. In addition to that, if you actually battled gyms, you would know diverse gyms are more difficult because it requires you to give your pokemon more thought. Pokemon take unneeded damage when you have to switch them out, and you lose the energy you built up. Surely you should be able to recognize this.

Power up your 100% IV one and place it in gyms.

MS/Earthquake or MS/SE are the best overall movesets, however RS is fine when against Snorlax and other normal Pokémon.

Every starter evolution I have ever evolved.

4 Charizard = 3 DC and one E / FB
4 Blastoise = 0 HP
2 Venasuar = 0 SoB (not too hurt)
Feraligatr -> B/IB

Been lucky with Arcanine and Rhydon though

I have 6 consecutive steel wing dragonite. Nuff said. Reinstall pokemon go twice still the same. I've posted a thread saying there's more than meets the eye, but nobody is with me lol

Reinstall won't change anything in the game. It's decided when it evolves and keeps that set. Until they release a way to reroll or teach new moves we are stuck

to be honest , i will go in total other direction , Mega horn can be a real bitch if defending since you usually Attack with water or grass , what i mean every thing have it is good and its bad , so use what you got and dont over think it

less any one mon more any mon with Iv's over 95% or requiring evolution items almost always get the least or second least desirable moveset (except rhydon).
