I haven't seen any in sightings. I'm going to try at the harbour today...

Try camping a water biome spawn point. I'm just lucky I guess. Already got 2 Laprases. One near the gates of my school and the other right here in my house. Totally unrelated but I also caught a Snorlax on my way to work. Snorlax do spawn here but Lapras doesn't.

You can find time table for it but idk where to find it. It's before Halloween event and I remember mostly about 21 o'clock for valuable pokemons

My wife waited 6 months before finally hatching one, and then the household returned to some sense of normality. I've hatched 7. I'm in Brisbane, Australia and normally there's only a couple of coastal places in the area where people catch them, but amazingly I did see one in the sightings a day or so ago. Couldn't find it though. People must be getting them, I fought a level 6 gym this afternoon, all Lapras.

i saw the same , around level 19 trainers having them in gyms in a park i went to , people is getting them , but am the most unlucky in this regard , same like 10 K eggs all onix despite having them in wild and caught many , still regularly hatch these idiots

As of now, the event is only half way done. You have time. Lapras is still rare and not everyone will get one. But you have as good of a chance as anyone.

On the first day, someone texted me that they caught one and told me where, but by the time I got there, it was gone. Haven't seen another one...yet... but there are still 3 1/2 days left. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't.

But I refuse to give in to despair. That defeats the purpose of the game, which is FUN.

I work night shift and had the last 4 nights off. I rode my bike from midnight to about 4:00am ever night. I also walked an hour or so each afternoon. Total playing in the past 4 days is around 20 hours. I have caught 2 Lapras in that time. Both around 2:00am on two different nights.

I'm level 35 and this makes number 6 and 7 for me. I caught 3 in the wild about 6 months ago at a known spot. That spot is about 120 miles from me. So I would be there from about 2pm to 2am. Over three seperate visits I caught three. (none first visit, one second visit, two third). The other two were hatched.

It was a big surprise seeing them appear the last two nights since I live about 40 miles from the coast.

I'd still have skipped both Lapras for even a low IV shiny magikarp.

i also had to travel to a further area where a park with multiple spawns and many pokestops , caught lots of evees and magikarb ( half way to a gyardo ) but no luck with shiny as well

Are you insane!? Lapras is way cooler. I had a shiny and transferred it thinking my phone was playing up again.

plus the possiblity of having a shiney with a good IV is way too low i would assume , spending 400 candy to have a red gyardo is way too much expensive

Go to different places that is all the advice i can give you, if you only go to your front parks you are doing it wrong, you literally need to walk around the whole city or places or parks, etc

i tried , but the spawning here is rare except some some specific places , and pokestops is so rare that is why i go to this park , i will try another places tho , in the coming days and hope for the best

Go to the next town over... I caught 5 outside of NW DC, a friend didnt see any around her in VA outside of SW DC, once she came here she found one promptly..

I suppose the best strategy is waking around different places and constantly checking nearby. This way you could see as much spawns you can.
Good luck!

I saw (and caught!) my first two wild Lapras ever around our city's courthouse. One each on two consecutive days -- afternoon and evening. Important government buildings might be a productive place to search.

Do you have your water and ice gold medals? They may improve your odds a bit.

water golden , ice no way am getting it any time soon , actually that is the main reason i need lapras ( in addition to pokedex entry , ice spawns is extremely rare here
