I don't think blastoise or tangela will be included, since their stats are too low. They do still make excellent prestigers. I don't expect starmie to be included, and probably not feraligatr, either. If you want a water attacker, vaporeon or gyarados is the way to go.

I do expect to see venusaur on the list. Some people prefer venusaur over exeggutor for plant moves, since venusaur's moves are faster. Also, I think pilowswine will be on there somewhere. Machamp might be in the highest tier as a chansey and snorlax attacker. Scizor might be on the list as an exeggutor counter.

I'm interested to see how high Scizor is placed up there as the premiere Steel type Pokemon.

Rhydon borderline? Nope, even with the fighting move buff.

Exeggutor god tier? Yes, because of the buff of Solar Beam.

Vaporeon very good tier? Well, still OK.

Where is Alakazam?

Where is Vileplume/Victreebel?

Lol dropped the ball on Zam thought I included him next to Espeon as the 2 premier Physic attackers let me fix that.

Rhydon w/ MS + Eq/SE is still a great attacker and Vileplume, Victri, and Wiggly are all great prestigers?

The methodology for defender rankings mentioned a strong pokebattler sim component, so their rankings should give some insight in to expectations, which are below:

Gets Through Most Defenders
1: Blissey (far above others)
2-5: Tyranitar, Dragonite, Snorlax, Vaporeon (order depends on dodging strategy)
6-9: Gyarados, Rhydon, Lapras, Golem (order depends on dodging strategy)
10-12: Machamp, Exeguttor, Omastar (order... )

Fastest:
1-2: Dragonite, Gengar
3-4: Alakazam, Machamp
5-7: Tyranitar, Espeon, Exeguttor

Boosts Due to Being Especially Useful In Current Gym Meta
Vaporeon, Tyranitar, Machamp

The exact order depends on how various categories like those above are weighted. One possible order is:

Tier 1: Dragonite, Tyranitar, Vaporeon
Tier 1:5: Blissey (not 1 because has a key flaw)
Tier 2: Machamp, Snorlax, Gyarados
Tier 3: Exeguttor, Gengar, Alakazam, Rhydon, Golem , Lapras

This looks more like my view with:
- Snorlax alongside Blissey, or even firtst tier
- exegg 1 tier up
- espeon in 3
- venu in 3
- then some in 4: flareon, jolteon ( a lot of usage due to gya), cloyster ( due to dragonite and his availability in many areas, superior to pilos both in best moves and total moves pool usefulness)
Vaporeon- except blissey , Vap is the mon with smallest diff among all moves, this aspect shoul accout for something, maybe not for tier placement as for overall grade.

Powder Snow is way better than Frost Breath or Ice Shard. Double the energy generated. You fill an Avalanche bar in the first seconds of the battle.

Pilo has the best ice moveset of the game.

Agree, but I don't think he takes more hp from multiple dragonites. And from an overall perspective bulldoze and stone edge are not goid vs. drago, while aurora beam is serviceable. Anyway, I think one of them will make the list and due to overall note already given, I'll bet on Cloysy.

Yeah I suppose, but some glaring omissions are: Flareon and Jolteon.

Lanturn will certainly be there somewhere.
Probably the only gen2 besides Blissey and Tyranitar.

I guess like me you are in a region without herracross; and ampharos :);

Heracross is a beast. I know most people don't have and cannot easily get him, but there are thousands and thousands of us down here in Florida who have him. I have a 91+ IV at CP 2683 w/ Counter/Close Combat...he's a killer into weak vs. fighting.

In Gen 1 all the regionals are rated regardless of which region they are specific to. I think Heracross might be one of the only regionals that is truly useful.

Ummmmm...my Kangskhans will fight to prove they can be useful.

If they take the Water Event into consideration, based on the fact that everybody will have one or two more Gyarados, I would say crank up every good electric pokemons one step up, so that would likely put Jolteon closer to the top. Not elite, but suddenly most wanted in tiers 1.
