100% Gyarados DT/C
Is it worth to power this moveset up? I personally dont feel like Outrage is that good of a defensive move, as it is super easy to dodge. It hits Dragonites quite hard though, even when dodged. Hydropump doesnt really play a role in my calculation, because even while being super hard to dodge, any 2,2+ Jolteon would take Gyarados out, before it can actually fire HP off in most cases.
I dont really care about the argument "gets a high gym spot", I just wanna have some nasty defenders. Does DT/C apply that description?

I have exactly the same moveset for Gyarados 97% 1600+ CP.
Today with the event I had another chance for the bloody Hydropump but it didn't come out. It's finally a Gyarados 2300+ CP with Bite / Outrage.
So in the end I don't know wich is better. Outrage is good against Dragonite and crunch vs Espeon.
I would have LOVED to have switched attacks like Both Dragon in 1 and Both Dark in the other.. makes more sense =/
I'm not sure any Gyarados is a "nasty defender." They all crumple like paper tigers when hit with electric. I would power up any 90+% though for that high gym spot.
When you get down to it, the only truly nasty defenders are Blissey and Snorlax (maybe Rhydon as a distant third). Everyone else can be exploited.
If you know how to play the game there's no hard enemy.
I killed 3k snorlax with my 91% heracross 2300cp C/CC
Gyarados .. I don't see it that bad against electric.. I fought a lof of them and is not bad.. if he releases HP first you're done. Ours doesn't have that precious attack. Hard one to get...
Rhydon you can kill it easily with Exegg or any water pokemon, it will hit hard,.
I haven't fight blissey yet.. is like I think i'll waste a lot of time :D
