GYMS: Question for Rural Trainers

Low. Start at 1500 and end at 2500 at top.

Depends on the area. I've had a 2500 vape in a hard to get to gym for months. But other gyms have normal turnover. Really is location dependent.

Around 2500-2700 in my area, with 2,8 I usually sit right in the top 1-3.

I live in a big city, but I went to a rural area a couple weeks ago, took both gyms from the small city and placed a Feraligatr and a Slowbro on them. Both around 2000CP. Trained a little, to around 10k prestige and left.

Now, two weeks later, they are still defending the gyms. These are my MVP defenders of the year already.

Not a predeterminated number as lower cp (it could be 1200 or 2000+. Max tend to be 2,7-3k, specially since my best pokemon (Vaporeon) is close to 2800 and we leading the town on blue team (4 main gyms).

I'm in a somewhat small City. Gyms around here start 1.8k-2.2k. They usually max out around 2.7k. Occasionally there will be a 3k Dragonite, but that is rare.

It depends on how rural. The outskirts/suburbs of a medium-sized city usually run from 2100-2800, with the odd 3K dragonite.
I recently traveled to a small town in the-middle-of-nowhere Texas and the gyms ran from 1300-2500. My 2000 Laparas sat right in the middle of a Level 7 and has been there 2 weeks.

Bottom around 2k, top around 3k.

Only one gym in my area (about 3 km away). It's still changing color about 2-3 times a day, no matter what you put in there. Basically, if any players has to go somewhere by car, they will stop and take it, because unless you go to the city, that's the only area where you can fight and spend potions. Heck, lately, players are starting to put anything funny in them, just because it doesn't matter.

I'm a solo level 31 Mystic player in a small town dominated by Instinct. 4 gyms total. One is only thus, everyone knows where all the gyms are and they turn over constantly. They rarely get above level 6-7 and are typically at 3-4. The Instinct gyms will get the highest. Typically they start at about 1700-2000. It's not unusual to see a gym with multiple 3k drainites. Mostly, you see 2500-3000 snorlax/blissey/gyarados throughout.

Mostly, 1800-2800 occasionally stretching up as high as 3400.

Cleveland suburbs - if you're willing to get out of a car and walk a bit (I know you are), I just got back a pre-nerf Lapras, CP was displaying in the gym at 1947, he'd been there for months! Turns out to be 1696 CP... (FB/Blizz so will be fine as prestiging/D9 destroyer!). So 2.6K CP gets you well in the middle of any gym, 2.9K near the top
