Demand a refund!
Because my local area is overrun by spoofers/bots that take back any gym defeated minutes later and have it at Level 10 minutes after that I'm now demanding a full refund of any pokecoins bought in the game. The situation is way beyond ridiculus and Niantic does not ban any reported spoofer, if when the said spoofer has the word spoofer in his name!
Anywhere you look a level 10 gym has typically at least 3 spoofers in them and here in Iceland the ratio is often closer to 8 out of 10. Nothing has changed and since Niantic does nothing to calm it's legitimate players they can only be considered to condone this.
DEMAND A REFUND!

I doubt that's in the terms and conditions etc...ya know, requesting ALL money ever spent because of something that is technically not directly related to it (its not like they stole your coins)
And im in no way defending them or the spoofing situation, its a joke and needs fixing. Just being realistic though and this isnt the answer.
Set about reporting all cheaters you know off, hope...wait..and maybe things will improve (hopefully)
Try to enjoy the game on your own terms is all I can say. Spooking sucks big time but nothing is done about it. So either accept it, quit or join them. I choose to accept it and try not to let it make my blood boil. (WHICH IT DOES) Unfortunately many feel they cannot compete and chose to cheat too.
I do feel sad that some players can hatch 9 eggs at a time buy buying incubators yet I will never spend a penny while heating is so rampant. It is the only game I have ever player a lot that I would not spend money on. Niantic do not are though as they are minting it.
