Houndoom vs Snorlax

I just saw that houndoom is resistant to all of snorlax's moves except earthquake and hyperbeam which can be dodged anyway. With his high attack value, I feel like snorlax has a modest counter here. What do you all think?

I prefer Tyranitar but Hoodum is cool too.

With its higher HP of course. But it will take increased type damage from heavy slam where houndoom will take reduced. And houndoom is easier to find and evolve a good attacker. It's really only bad offensive move vs snorlax is crunch.

If it's not resistant to Hyper Beam, then it's not resistant to Body Slam.

Oh yeah, forgot the legacy move. Still resistant to all quick moves though.

Yeah but you want resistance to Body Slam and Hyper Beam to speak about (soft) counter, which Tyranitar, Rhydon and to a lesser extent Golem have.

I'm not saying its better than tyranitar, just thinking it can do the job better than most. Not everyone has access to a dozen perfect tyranitars.

I like using Houndoom against Snorlax; he is like a better version of Arcanine.

I doubt it; Houndoom is just too frail. You're better off using Umbreon or Wigglytuff.
