Great news for us daily players - not so much for casual players who may miss a day here or there, unless they kept a random drop rate too...

so they took away the 7 day streak to get an evo item only to give it to us back again as an update?

So.... receiving or not an evolution item was a client based thing?? i thought servers decided what we get. otherwise, why is the update needed to receive the item?

They probably removed the server side evolution item, and became like last time, total rng jesus but 1 secure every 7 days

This is great news. It has been quite some time now since I've received an evolution item.

I love to grind, but spinning PokeStops endlessly with no evolution items for awhile now. That was starting to get a bit disappointing If I may say.

This would help rural players who don't have a lot of stops to spin. I'd guess it's impossible to find evo items for some folks due to limited Pokestops in their area...

I've found 5 myself, but spin an ok amount daily.

gave me another upgrade :( for that oh so common porygon evo (3 upgrades, three crowns and I haven't seen a decent slowpoke or poly in ages, one scale and it got blizzard)
