Getting the hang of IV

Guys,

I recently got the hang of IV, and obviously i've made all the wrong evolution choices ^^

Anyhow, I was wondering if I should now spend my heard earn star points on these guys :
- 91.1% Victribel (15/13/13) with Razor Leaf / Leaf Blade
- 93,3% Arcanine (14/15/13) with Snarl / Crunch

Or if I should just keep it all for a 100% Phanpy and hope for the best ?

Thanks !

I would say no to victrebell and arcanine - you want strong Pokémon with very good moves. Since it seems you don't have much right now, I would start saving and wait for a Pokémon you are 100% certain you want to power up.

I wouldn't. Though that pitcher plant is an awesome prestiger. I have a few that makes short work of Vaporeons and Rhydons since i frequently see them in gyms. For its movesets, I'm really torn but I end up using my LB more than my SLB since I can easily fire a few charge moves. Don't get me wrong, SLB is awesome but when you're 1/2 CP of your opponent, you need to unload everything before he does else he'll probably demolish you if you get hit.

Thanks !

Let's see what I can find, but 90%+ IV creatures don't come very often !
My best is a 100% Marowak, but that's pretty usless :)

Yah Nidoking 100% PJ/EQ useless too but I got a Victreebel RL/SB 100% some said thats perfect one but when i use battler simulator its look like Acid/SB was the right moveset. I kinda confused.......

I think RL/SB is better than Acid since Acid is double resisted by Rhydon which is a very common gym defender...

Acid is fine vs. Vaporeon, but RL hits for Super Effective damage...

Ive known that so i did test it on many battler simulator website and got same result as well Acid>RL even with Rhydon and same as case Vappy too.

Victrebel may have some merit, great moveset and soliiid ivs. If I'm not mistaken, it can take a vape out faster than venusaur but it's fragile.

If you want something to take out opposing teams' vaporeons it's worth it, otherwise, as the second response noted, it makes for a great prestiger

Depending on what level it is, what level you are, and how desperately you need a vaporeon killer, you might consider the Victreebel. I would wait unless you're actively battling and having a tough time with the vaps.

Moveset on the arcanine looks sub-par.

I will just say this "If my next evolution goes out with Crunch I am DONE".

I am stupidly tired of that fucking attack ruin all my evolutions. All my decent IV pokemon got dark moves.. it's stupid fuck and ridiculous shiet.. really pissed about that.

Depends where you're finding holes in your attackers. I agree with the other posters that VBell can be really good against Vaporeons and, for whatever reason, grass types are few and far between where I live, so I have a 2001 42 IV Vbell with Razor Leaf and Solar Beam that I use regularly to take out Vapes. But I've also traveled to places where fire types are more predominant and in a setting like that, you are probably wasting your time powering up a grass type if your stardust is very limited. Try making lineups to challenge gyms and see what you don't have and wish you did. And don't get too married to IV - having perfect IVs is great if you have something like a Dragonite that you want to put at the top of a gym. But for attacking, a strong Pokémon with decent IVs is often more worthy of stardust than something less suited to combat and perfect IVs.

What level are you and are gyms stagnant for your team in your area?

I'd say most things are not worth powering up for attack in general.

You can use/evolve things you find, even with bad IVs, especially Vaporeons/Flareons/Jolteons.

I have only powered up 2 mons so far for attacking (Venusaur and Exeggutor). I will probably do a Machamp if I ever get one with the right moveset.

The Venusaur, with perfect dodging can probably take out 2-3 Vaps as can the Exeggutor (which I evolved to deal with Blissey).

No on the Arcanine. And believe me I like arcanines, but move set is way more important than IV's.

Upside down condom flower... meh. I haven't been overly impressed by any of mine. Venusaur does better.

BE PATIENT <<<<
