Gym Max Prestige

So, I've been seeing some 52k Gyms lately and was wondering if it's because the 2k extra prestige that a gym earns for every new mon on the gym.

So... if I cap the gym at 50,000 with only my mon, it means that when the other 9 people come, it'll go to 68,000 prestige? Is that possible?

never tried it, but i doubt it. even when you beat a gym at "52000" xp, it only accounts for 50k, so I think that is the cap.

Maybe... But as of now I rarely see a GYM at L10....
I don't know if those player who usually raised a GYM to L10 are been stop playing or they are banned. Or maybe some other team color are level-up and can take down there raised GYM.

Yes gyms can go up to 68,000 if you prestige the first defender until the gym is maxed and then add 9 defenders to it. However, after the first defeat it will drop from 68,000 to 50,000 and from that point the prestige will drop as normal.

No, the maximum should be 70,000 prestige if 50 people is prestiging against an opponent which is knocked out at the time they win, the gym will now be level 10 neutral gym.
